Hull Getting Closer – Radford

Lee Radford feels Hull are progressing after watching them lose their 13th Super League match in a row against the Castleford Tigers.

Hull’s form has been on the slide since the middle of last season although they were not far away against rivals KR last week, and they went close again against the Tigers on Thursday, eventually going down 18-26.

They were not given any favours, with the video referee ruling out three tries, and Radford, who confirmed winger Matty Dawson-Jones will miss the rest of the season after suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury in training on Wednesday, says they are not far away.

“I hope our luck turns soon and the bounce of the ball goes our way,” said Radford. “It’s really fine lines, there is absolutely nothing in it.”
