Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has opened up on how he fetched water for his neighbours and cleaned up the gutters filled with spirogyra for N30 during his childhood struggle.
The Nigerian international, who has now become a household name in Nigeria and in Galatasaray due to his goal-scoring prowess, made this known in an interview with media personality Daddy Freeze.

Osimen noted that to make ends meet in his early life, he fetched water for neighbours and washed algae-filled gutters for just N30.
“There was a building in front of my house, it was up of a ‘face me I face you’ house. I use to fetch water for people there for N80 most of the time,” he said.
“I would wash gutters. You know when the green things are coming out. I would wash gutters with spirogyra for N30.”

Lmao….Oh! I see where and why he got his ill temper and hot headedness from… lmao but me too I did what the hausa’s call Mai ruwa (water vendor) in the streets, pushed wheel barrow(using it to carry people’s luggage in the market then), I even sold ice water back then(back then there was nothing like pure or sachet or even much of table or plastic water…the genz can’t relate..lol). But still I never disrespected my elders or invited Ogun to kill anyone whenever I discovered that my words were twisted by someone on the street…. lmao….. even though it was not twisted by anyone as long as you are an elder, we don’t speak I’ll of you. ..
