‘I Must Start Scoring Goals For Cremonese In Serie A’ –Dessers

The Super Eagles of Nigeria forward, Cyriel Dessers, has tasked himself to start scoring goals for his new club, Cremonese after bagging one assist in six Serie A games so far this season.

Dessers joined Cremonese from Genk in this summer’s transfer window after a loan spell at Feyenoord last season. He scored an impressive 20 goals, plus four assists for the Dutch side in 41 games across all competitions.

In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 27-year-old said he is an expert in the box.

“Now I must start scoring in Serie A,” Dessers told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I am an expert when it comes to playing in the opponent’s penalty box. I showed this in the match with Roma where I put pressure on their centre-backs and fought hard to win aerial duels.”

He has scored one goal in three appearances for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Cremonese are currently 18th in the Serie A with two points from six games.

Up next for Dessers and his Cremonese teammates is a Serie A home match against Lazio on Sunday September 18, 2022.

There are certain rudiments of club transfers that these players ignore. I will personally stay with a top 4 club in Belgium than play for a relegation struggling team or a newly promoted team in the Serie A. Okereke and Dessers might not survive the drop this season….I hope they do but looking at how they have been playing I doubt it but in football things change so fast so let’s wait till the end of the season.

Dessers transfer to Italy is a great one, beside he can always move to a better if he performs well. He just need to get enough supply from his team mates. He will get better
