‘I Want To Continue Proving My Worth’ – Osimhen Reacts After Netting Brace In Napoli’s Draw At Leicester

Victor Osimhen has said he hopes to continue to prove his worth and
contribute to the success of Napoli.

The Nigerian international stated this after scoring two goals, which saw Napoli come from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 in Thursday’s Europa League group clash with Leicester.

He has now opened his goals accounts for the new campaign after appearing in his third game of the season.

Also in action for Leicester were the duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi.

While Iheanacho provided the assist for Leicester’s second goal, Ndidi was sent off late in the game.

“I am happy for the double and for the positive result,” Osimhen told Napoli’s website.

“It was important to have started the journey in the Europa League well. I want to give everything for this shirt and I want to continue on this path to prove my worth and give my contribution to the team.”

The former Lille striker hoped for a injury-free campaign and expressed optimism of a successful season.

He added:”I hope to have no more injuries because we have a strong group and I know we can achieve something important this season.”

Great performance! The Italian League is a difficilt one for young strikers, as the style of play is too strategic and never direct.

Osimhen was at his best , so also with all the Nigerians on both sides of the Teams. Wow, all the eyes of the whole of Africa is on Nigeria at the moment of what they could be capable of in Cameroon.

If we ever meet Denmark in the near future, Casper Schmeichel and Vestergaard will be very wary of Osimhen, after the damage he caused them today.
Wishing Osimhen an injury free season.

Don’t try to prove a point to anyone, you already have everything to make it at a great club if you get supplies. Proving point to humans doesn’t do any good just keep working and moving ahead.
