Former Leicester City and England striker Jamie Vardy has claimed that Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi made use of “juju cream” to overcome their injuries during their time at the Foxes.
Vardy made the claim in the latest episode of ‘Jamie Vardy’s Having a Party’ podcast.
The 39-year-old was a teammate of both Iheanacho and Ndidi at Leicester City from 2017 to 2024, and the club won the Community Shield and the FA Cup within that period.
Recounting some behind-the-scenes information from that time at the King Power Stadium, Vardy narrated how the Super Eagles pair used to go back home in Nigeria after injuries and return to the club with “a nice big tub of juju cream”, which was the only ointment the masseuse was allowed to apply to the affected area.

Vardy added that when the players are queried about the source of the substance, they would claim it was from “a Nigerian witch doctor”.
“They used to get injured. Little knocks, then go back to Nigeria for just one day. They come back with a nice big tub of juju cream,” Vardy said.
“That was the only thing that the messeuse was allowed to apply to the injured area. They used to tell us that it had come from a Nigerian witch doctor.”
Ndidi currently plays for Turkish giants Besiktas while Iheanacho is at Scottish heavyweights Celtic where he won the league and Cup titles.
