Joshua To Defend Belts Against Pulev June 20 At Tottenham Stadium

Anthony Joshua’s clash with Kubrat Pulev has been confirmed for June 20 at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Joshua, who regained his WBO, WBA, IBF and IBO belts against Andy Ruiz Jr at the end of 2019, will defend his belts against IBF mandatory challenger Pulev.

The Brit posted a photo with his four belts simply captioned: “June 20” to indicate the date whilst Pulev posted official details on his Facebook page.

The Bulgarian confirmed the contracts were officially signed between both parties and said: “I am really happy to have the opportunity to show the world how strong I really am”.

Pulev was due to take on Joshua back in October 2017 but suffered a shoulder injury in sparring, with Carlos Takam stepping in as a late replacement.

There was much talk about Joshua instead fighting Tyson Fury in a bid to become undisputed champion after the Gypsy King demolished Deontay Wilder for his WBC belt last weekend.

But Wilder has triggered his rematch clause, with a trilogy bout between the pair set to take place in the summer meaning a contest between Fury and Joshua must wait.
