Juventus have sacked head coach Maurizio Sarri a day after being knocked out of the Champions League in the last-16 stage to Lyon on Friday.
The Serie A champions announced Sarri’s sacking in a statement released on their official website on Saturday.
Sarri only took charge of Juventus in June last year, signing a three-year contract at the time, and led the side to a ninth consecutive Serie A title last month.
Despite a brace from Cristiano Ronaldo which gave Juventus 2-1 win, Lyon progressed on the away goals rule after winning the first-leg 1-0.
“Juventus Football Club announces that Maurizio Sarri has been relieved of his post as coach of the First Team,” the club announced.
“The club would like to thank the coach for writing a new page in Juventus history with the victory of the ninth consecutive Scudetto, the culmination of a personal journey that led him to climb all the categories of Italian football.”

Yes the selection might be wrong, but did u notice the controvertial penalty that was awarded and VAR didn’t overturn. Chances were wasted by juventus, so that isn’t the coaches fault
Juventus got their penalty from thesame controversy aswell. I think sarri messed up in that game. He needed a winning and the awarded best player of the team was in bench? Matuidi pianic ? The problem of some italian coaches most times is ego, they arnt far from some nigerians or africans too. When he was in chelsea he had the chance to build on conte fomation which was working for chelsea. But ego will not alow him instead he started benching moses for no reason and trying defferent formations and players without no consistency in plans. Same over sabi artitude messed him up yesterday.
