Nigeria winger Samuel Kalu missed the first day of pre-season training with Girondis Bordeaux after flight restrictions prevented him from traveling to France, reports Completesports.com.
Kalu was granted permission by the club to travel to Nigeria following the suspension of French Ligue 1 in March due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic.
Clubs in France have started preparations for the 2020/21 campaign following the lifting of ban on sporting activities by the authorities.

Kalu reminds me of kids who don’t like to go to school. Sometimes i wonder if he has passion for the game or he wants to go and sell spare parts at Onitsha. This same indiscipline has deprived Neymar the world best player. Hmmm it is well!
Bros Chima,
Na flight restriction cause am.
I no believe say someone like Samuel Kalu go wan play with him club career right now.
Super Eagles invitation these days na solely and mainly on club form and seriousness!!!
Kalu knows that just like every other team players.
I believe say in the coming weeks, the restrictions go slow down and he go travel and join him team mates for preseason.
You are right.
No excuses why is it always the case for him. I am very sure if Osihmen was not granted extra holiday due to his Fathers death he will find his way to Lille through other channels unlike Kalu who’s always looking out for reasons to avoid going on time to team up with colleagues, I guess it’s a good time to make up excuses so let him stay back. Coach Rohr should start looking for option B because I don’t trust this Kalu’s mindset.
Mr poster there is not trust in ur story
