If this Brazilian Alves turns out to be a marquee signing, Nigeria should naturalise him for the Super Eagles.

    Who is this one?

  • @Igbekun Abo abi, Hahaha No be small tin ooo lol.

In all honesty that will not be a bad idea atol besides, Many European teams are doing it now

  • This signing is a classic case of eye service. Who is the player Ribeiro Alves Lucas and where has he played his football? Let us examine.

He is 25 and has never played first or even second class football, in fact I cannot find anywhere he has played professional football before. All he has going for himself is that he is Brazilian and looks nice. First thing to note, he is not the footballer that shares the same name who plays for Hoffenheim in the German Bundesliga, he is merely a “namesake”

He played his football in Serie D (4th division) and regional cups in Brazil with Anapolina, Brazil. There is only record of 7 matches he played with them between 2014 and 2016.

Next record available is what is quoted in the article, that he played for the LA Seahorses. That club plays in the PSL division 2, this is an amateur league for amateurs and U23, not to be confused with the Major League soccer (MLS) – Premier league or the United states league (USL) division 2. The PSL is completely amateur.

There are blogs that link the player with Corinthians, but there is nothing online, no records, no information to show that he has ever been linked to the club.

To me, this reads as they just brought on boy from Brazil to hoodwink the club, the fans and the general public
