La Liga: Sadiq Nets Debut Goal As Real Sociedad, Atletico Madrid Share The Spoils

Super Eagles striker Umar Sadiq made a brilliant start to life at Real Sociedad as he netted his debut goal in the team’s 1-1 draw against Atleticio Madrid in Saturday’s La Liga game.

The Nigerian international, who recently joined Real Sociedad from Almeria this summer transfer, wasted no time to announce himself to the club.

Sadiq netted in the 55th minute few minutes after coming on from the bench to cancel Atletico Madrid’s early goal that was scored by Alvaro Morata.

He could have earned himself a double in the 67th minute but his effort was well saved by Atletico Madrid goalkeeper, Jan Oblak.

All efforts for both teams to score the winning goal proved abortive as the game ended 1-1.

The draw means, Real Sociedad sit 8th on seven points on the log while Atletico Madrid sit on seven points.

Osimhen will become a little more serious now. No more automatic striking position in Super Eagles squad.
Good start Umar! He could get a bigger club offer soon or make name for himself with Sociedad.
They should award him if he continues well with No. 9 jersey and a place in the starting eleven

Good start… I was scared of the move before now but the team is playing to your depth so congratulations while Osimhen is been starved of supply and fighting tooth and nail for everything against Lazio with Zero supply.

It’s obvious there’s a gang up against Osihmen in that team, something around 80mins, Elmas was in position to pass a direct pass that can lead to goal to Osihmen and he make a uturn to pass back to midfield. It’s only Lorenzo that loves Osihmen and wish him to put on scoresheet. If Osihmen score above 10 goals this season, he should be thankful to God. It’s only Napoli team I have ever seen that doesn’t pass to striker to score.

Someone should please advise Victor osimeh to leave Napoli in January, there’s a clear conspiracy against him there, if not how can entire of his teammates be playing against his strength, his couch also is not helping matter

  • Big number 9 doing it with the big boys of LA Liga. Scored 2 before leaving Almeria, already scoring goals for Sociedad. I see him becoming a great success in LA Liga. He is definitely going to be ahead of players like awoniyi and Dennis who are yet to settle down and do the business in the premiership.
Just to throw another name into the works. Victor Boniface looks like a good prospect. We may have to observe him a bit more now that he is in Belgium but the first signs look very good. A big strong skillful player with good pace and strikes well with both feet. Unfortunately for him the super Eagles handlers only look at players who are on the books of clubs in big leagues not considering whether they are active or not while ignoring those who play in fairly strong leagues week in and out. Hopefully these talented group of players playing regularly in fairly good leagues will be given opportunities to stake a claim to an Eagles shirt.
Umar Sadiq paint laliga green and white with goals!

Osimhen should settle with his big sister to avoid ‘home problem syndromes’ in his journey. He needs every body’s Blessings particularly, from his immediate siblings. My advice only.

Wisdom! I don’t always agree with you, but on this one; you have my support and applause!

NIGERIA players with PREMIER LEAGUE CONUNDRUM..Imagine an AWONIYI who by now should have gelled properly with a well oiled UNION BERLIN team competing in Europe and chasing top 4 in Germany is being kept on the bench by some unknown quantity in NF..That coach will soon be fired. How he would keep DENNIS and AWONIYI on the bench whilst fielding mediocre players beggars belief.. Same thing the clueless SCOT PARKER did last season with FULHAM and they got relegated was what he did with BOURNEMOUTH (bench players who get you to Premiership for mediocres. The new coach has kept faith with SOLANKE and BILLINGS and both scored yesterday.

You for go HELP OSIMHEN SETTLE him FAMILY MATTER na…

WE have been saying this thing here.

OSIMHEN has been getting BAD SERVICES from HIS TEAM MATE(right from the time of INSIGNE, till now. The whole thing seems like GANG UP)

So it has been there since the TIME of IMO RIVER (since time immemorial)

So please don’t bring the FAMILY ISSUE as to why HE is not SCORING CONSISTENTLY…

Any GOAL wey OSIMHEN SCORE, know say na BABA GOD want make HIM SCORE. And him SWEAT wella(difficult ball in a tight position) to SCORE AM or the TEAM MATES gat no CHOICE and don’t want to make it look so OBVIOUS (the alledge gang up)
