Alexis Mac Allister’s father, Carlos, has confirmed that Liverpool has not yet initiated talks to extend the midfielder’s contract, which currently runs until June 2028.
Despite being in the final two years of his deal, Mac Allister is not rushing for a new deal, with his father emphasizing that they are not holding talks with other clubs out of respect for Liverpool.

“Alexis has a valid contract until June 2028 and so far we are not speaking publicly with any other club.
“We believe that the club’s fans deserve this level of respect from the player, and so far the club has not negotiated with us to renew the contract.”
Mac Allister has made 52 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring five goals and providing seven assists for Liverpool as they fail to defend their Premier League title.
