Real Madrid defender Raul Asencio is set to stand trial in September over the alleged sharing of a sex tape involving a minor, The Sun reports.
Asencio faces two charges as he goes on trial alongside three ex-academy team-mates.
The 23-year-old is accused of sharing a sex tape involving a minor, in addition to distributing the video in question without consent.
Both alleged victims have withdrawn their complaints against the footballer.
But it has been ruled that they must do so again in court in order for that position to be regarded.
Asencio’s former team-mates Ferran Ruiz, Juan Rodriguez and Andres Garcia are also set to stand trial.
Ruiz, Rodriguez and Garcia are accused of recording and distributing sexual videos involving a minor and another woman.
Asencio is not accused of being involved in the alleged incident.
Defence lawyers wanted evidence obtained from the defendants’ phones to be struck from the official record.
But the judge declined to do so, even accusing the defendants of a “clear attempt to thwart the investigation“.

Ruiz, Rodriguez and Garcia were arrested in September 2023.
Asencio was initially interviewed by police in connection with the case before becoming part of the investigation itself.
In May 2025, Asencio released a statement fiercely denying allegations made against him.
An excerpt of it read: “I have not participated in any behaviour that violates the sexual freedom of any woman, much less minors.”
In the lengthy statement, the Los Blancos star said the “presumption of innocence must continue to prevail.”
He added: “Should charges ultimately be filed and a trial commence, I will continue to defend myself before the Courts and Tribunals, in which I have full confidence, reaffirming my innocence of any criminal conduct.
“All of this is without prejudice to the utmost respect for the conduct of the judicial proceedings as a whole, including those of the other persons under investigation.”
The four players were arrested after a complaint was filed by the mother of a 16-year-old girl in the Canary Islands.
The complainant stated that the sexual activity was consensual, but the alleged recording was not.
