Napoli manager Walter Mazzarri has backed Victor Osimhen to rediscover his scoring form, reports Comoletesports.com.
Osimhen is yet to hit the net in four outings for the Serie A champions after recovering from the hamstring injury he sustained on international duty in October.
The 24-year-old struggled in the Partenopei’s 1-0 defeat to Juventus on Friday night.
The Nigeria international who make his second start in the game seems long way off his best.
Mazzarri is however upbeat Osimhen will back to his best soon.
“Champions inspire the others, but they also need to find full fitness. You could tell he (Osimhen ) was being man-marked even when the ball was nowhere near him,” Mazzarri said after the game.
“When he is in good shape, he will make the difference, but then we lose him with the Africa Cup of Nations and others have to fill in.”
The striker has scored six goals in 11 league appearances for Napoli this season.
