Mirallas ‘Calm’ Over Viola Future

Kevin Mirallas claims he is staying “calm” about his future, despite admitting he would like to join Fiorentina on a permanent deal. The 31-year-old Belgian, who is under contract at Everton until summer 2020, moved to La Viola on a season-long loan deal last summer.

However, Mirallas has managed to score just two goals with one assist in 18 Serie A appearances so far this season as he has been consigned to coming off the bench in the majority of outings. He does not appear to be in the plans of Everton boss Marco Silva, while it seems Fiorentina are unlikely to make his stay a permanent one even though they have the option to buy him for seven million euros.

But Mirallas is refusing to give up hope of persuading the Italian Serie A side to sign him on a full-time basis in the summer and even suggested that he might look to get Everton to reduce their asking price. He told Tuttosport: “My future? I hope to stay at Fiorentina again.

I feel good here and I would like to stay. “I like this club, I like this group and the coach, I like the fans who always support us and never give us negative pressures. “I like Florence where my family is also well. There are still two months to go until the end of the season, after which we will talk. “If I ask Everton to give Fiorentina a discount? Why not! We’ll see. However, I am calm.”
