Musa: Eagles Can’t Afford To Fail Nigerians Against Bafana

Ahmed Musa says the Super Eagles can’t afford to fail their teeming supporters back home in Nigeria and around the world when they do battle with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa for AFCON 2019 semifinal spot at the Cairo International Stadium on Wednesday, reports Completesports.com.

The Super Eagles are looking to win a fourth continental title in Egypt, but must first negotiate a tricky last eight encounter against the Bafana Bafana who knocked out the host nation Egypt from the competition.

“We know how passionate our fans back home are about football, so it is important to make them happy by beating the South Africans, ” Musa told Completesports.com here in Cairo.

“The win against Cameroon was massive for us and the response from people back home was great too. We know if we beat South Africa, the celebrations will be bigger than that, and that is what we want.

“To put smiles on the faces of people on the streets, to bring all Nigerians together with people not thinking about religion, status or their culture – we wantbro continue doing this.”

The Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia star also hints that the Nigeria players are in high spirit ahead of the game and are not thinking about anything other than going past the South Africans.

Musa added: “We are all looking forward to the game. South Africa showed that they can’t be underrated with that big, big performance against Egypt.

“We know what to expect from them, but we are ready for anything they would throw at us. ”

  • Secret of south Africa as monitored by chef in hotel .planned to play like madagascar. With sudden long ball to attack. From d back . Same as counter attacking. Looking for late goals . Voice message would be released after d game.

We are now using the Madagascar game as template..lol.
Don’t forget that the first goal scored by them was a mere gift from an individual’s blunder and it was not as a result of any deployed tactics.

The second goal was also not from a tactical play, I think the loss to Madagascar has gone a long way to rejuvenate the team and humble them.

      • The goals came as a result of pressure on d team . When madagascar beat Algeria in their next game . Ur eye wil open

Musa, good talk. For SA to eliminate Egypt, they have loads of character and self belief. However, the Egypt they beat is the worst I’ve seen in a while. And their over-reliance on Salah cost them dearly. The Super Eagles should provide a much stiffer test for Banana Banana tomorrow. As long as we do not underestimate them, and stay focused for the duration of the game, we should book our ticket to the semis.

We need to win the mid field from them and ensure our defense link very well with our wide players.

When our players are talking, I will listen attentively to them because I saw in them in Russia and again in Egypt at the moment that they are trying to do something spectacular but the coach is the problem of this team.

This is what I said yesterday and Musa confirmed it today.

“The win against Cameroon was massive for us and the response from people back home was great too. We know if we beat South Africa, the celebrations will be bigger than that, and that is what we want.”

We are the best fans of the Super Eagles. Coach Rohr fans how market? are you watching? Musa have spoken. If I may ask, what did you guys achieve with coach Rohr so far? Mind game abi and his team is not young anymore because Super Eagles are winning now?

Thank God for this beautiful achievement. We patriotic Nigerians have done really well with the team.

God is the pillar of this team and we are the real fans who can talk to the players and they have no choice, Super Eagles have to deliver. 3-0 is what I’m hoping for against South Africa.

I’m not bothered about coach Rohr anymore if these guys are ready, God will help.

We have good players without good keepers and a sound coach. That is why we are not confident enough to say we are beating South Africa tomorrow. Shall we continue this way, Absolutely no. God bless [email protected]

Amen and you as well. You can see now that I said amen to the prayer. I love coach Rohr more you do but he needs help. He do need someone who can read game for him. Don’t be surprised if you see Akpeyi on the goal post today. Did watch South Africa vs Egypt? If yes then Akpeyi can’t be in this match.
Good luck my lovely coach and the team. Up 9ja. God bless Nigeria!!!

that is not neccessary. If he believes that mr rohr is not good enough for SE, it is his opinion and everybody is entitled to it.

The game against ‘The Boys’ later today is going to be massive. The ‘Boys’ will always remain boys while the ‘Men’ will remain men. Even if they decides to play us the way Madagascar did, we will overcome. But the team MUST shun show-boating and holding on to the ball for too long. Showboating causes unnecessary injuries to the players. We should adopt one-touch passes. We should not be static but move with the ball and of it. In fact, off-the -ball movement is very sacrosanct.

I’ve been reading Nigerian newspapers and it’s all about Bafana Bafana. You’d think that Bafana Bacana is playing Bafana Bafana. We don’t hear anything about Nigeria. South Africa will beat the once super eagles again.
