De Laurentiis is delighted that the Serie A club were able sign their preferred striker.
“It is certainly a costly investment, but he is a strong striker who our sports director [Cristiano] Giuntoli advocated,” De Laurentiis told Corriere del Mezzogiorno.
“He is a 30-goal striker.
“I met him and he made an excellent impression on me, I hope he quickly settles in our championship.”
Osimhen scored 18 competitive goals in 38 outings in his sole season with Lille which won him the club’s Player of the Season and the best African player in Ligue 1 award.

… certainly. He can go pass the 30-goal margin but it’s instructive not to put him under pressure at this point in time. Given the right atmosphere devoid of racism remarks and the psychological balance, he (Osimhen) can take the world by storm. He got the quality of a potent and clinical goal poacher.
I remember the u-17 world cup that Oshimen participated, he exceeded the goal record by scoring 10 goals . Til now that record is yet to be broken . He’s got what it takes to score 30 goals . I hope he makes a great mark in Italy and from there , the world will definitely be his oyster .
