Newcastle Launch Bid For £25m-rated S/Eagles Forward Dennis

Newcastle United have bidded for Club Brugge £25million-rated Super Eagles forward Emmanuel Dennis as they hunt for a new striker.

Chelsea French striker Olivier Giroud and Krzysztof Piatek have been touted as potential arrivals this month as Steve Bruce looks to revamp his misfiring attack.

A run of three goals in six games marks a downturn in form after the under-pressure manager had crafted a strong start to life at St James’ Park.

Summer signing Joelinton, a £40m purchase, has failed to hit the ground running while Andy Carroll and Dwight Gayle provide underwhelming back-up.

And according to French Eurosport, Newcastle has launched a bid for 22-year-old Dennis.

The Nigerian international signed for Club Brugge from Ukrainian side Zorya Luhansk in 2017 and made his mark in this year’s Champions League group stage.

He bagged a brace in a famous 2-2 draw against Spanish giants Real Madrid in this season’s UEFA Champions League.

He has netted eight goals and provided two asists in 26 appearances in all competitions for Club Brugge this season.

Hope work permit issues wont scuttle this great opportunity for this versatile player to hit the limelight.I don’t know if this fellow has got a European passport which enables him to do shifts in the UK otherwise he should seek employment elsewhere.
Having said that,Newcastle would provide a platform to develop this young prodigy to an enviable level.
My prayers are with you hoping it goes through.Dennis is a bundle of skill who needs a big league to take him to that next level good enough to compete with his first team compatriots in the national team.
