These Eaglets will defeat Senegal easy. Nigeria is the best team.

    • rotizee 12 months ago

Their link up play is beautiful to behold but they lack discipline and decisiveness both in the defense and attack. This I have seen.

    • With this rubbish they are playing?

With wat is happening to nigerian football I doubt if Nigeria wil qualify for the next world cup …
It is not about the boys but the thinking mentality of the coaches in use ….
Y is Senegal on the raise in all competition and Nigeria team falling to any would be strong opponent.
Which country can Nigeria now boost of fighting with the ball with.
Imagine bokinafaso .. morroco South Africa pulling Dem . Chi … If fifa can just put Nigeria in group of Somali Sao Tome Eritrea and Sudan den Nigeria wil be in 2026 world cup ..not with all this team coming up .

Arara son of satan kumbie – you think we don’t see you hahahahahahaha! I laugh in your father’s language – the same way that you are here showing the hatred in your heart is the same way your hatred will consume you and all you hopes and wishes in life including for all that are related to you -You will fall INTO THE VERY SAME HOLE YOU ARE DIGGING – yOUR OWN HAS FINISHED. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

    • Le Sénégal nous attend, nous on peut même pas l’atteindre, c’est un escalier plus haut
Heureusement car contre le Sénégal qui est le roi d’Afrique on allait faire pire que les u20, on n’allait prendre 3 buts à 0

  • onwajunior 12 months ago

Ogbabido is the coach’s personal investment, bcos there no justification for him being in the team let alone starting games

  • Anetimd 12 months ago

How can you win games if you cannot score goals. Do we have a scarcity of strikers in Nigeria. Inabilty to score was the main undoing of the u-20 team as well. Wetin dey happen

  • Is this is the best Nigeria can present? The is the question that keep on ringing in my heat as I watch.

  • Poor , poor , poor

We always concede the first goal..

Can they do better in the second half or risk not qualifying for the world cup

  • Greenturf 12 months ago

From what i have seen so far we don’t deserve to go to the world cup.
We lose the ball a lot in the midfield,we are goal shy and our defence looks vulnerable.
    We’re not good enough..

    • respect is reciprocal 12 months ago

we don’t have business at the World Cup . Ugbade is a shame . This is all he can present . useless set of players that brought their way into the team. useless NFF

  • These boys are bags of rubbish packed to disgrace Nigeria. No moments of intelligence in their play. Nonsense display. God forbid. Big rubbish.

  • Footballfanatic 12 months ago

Anyone could smell that Burkinabe goal coming from a mile away…. Misplaced passes in our own half several times in a q final game and you think Burkina faso won’t capitalize?. Talk about indiscipline………I’m sorry but I don’t see us winning this game as Burkina Fasso will park the bus and these eaglets don’t know how to carve chances out of a tight defence but I’m here and would be happy to be proven wrong. I mean how can you be so defensively careless in such a game???

    • Arara Kumbie 12 months ago

Stop being so negative. The Golden Eaglets came close to scoring first. Nigeria came back to win South Africa so what is the big deal?

    • onwajunior 12 months ago

Exactly my thoughts. Unless BF coach is an idiot, the only strategy is to park the bus. It’s going to be hard for us in the 2nd half

  • Chudynak 12 months ago

I have always said that this team is labouring in vain (apologies to Tinubu)I hope they prove me wrong

  • Short pasess at mildle and defenders are the killers of golden eaglet

  • respect is reciprocal 12 months ago

Anybody thinking this eaglet are better than Senegal is deceiving himself. they are not even at par with Morocco not alone the best team of the tournament Senegal. the players are good but input from the technical end is weak and that is why Senegal will be difficult to beat. it will take grace for us to beat Burkinafaso let alone Senegal yeye talk

  • rotizee 12 months ago

Their link up play is beautiful to behold but they lack discipline and decisiveness both in the defense and attack. This I have seen.

  • Professor 12 months ago

GODSTATE or what that’s your name, I think you can see the Golden Eaglet that want to beat Senegal.

I repeat, Can someone just tell the organizers of this competition to give the cup to the Senegalese, They deserve it. Eaglet are coming back home

  • JimmyBall 12 months ago

The guy Ogbabido is not so talented… He plays very average and falls too easily. The Ogboji guy too has no sense, he employs too much power and that’s why he missed that kick… the goal keeper has done the good job. Again the pitch is too wet and slippery, but overall,we have a really shaky defence line…

  • I hope their inability to finish chances will not send them out of this tournament. So sad.

  • Basiliano080 12 months ago

Where can I stream the match online ?

  • Footballfanatic 12 months ago

I am beginning to doubt ugbade’s technical ability…….These looks like just putting a bunch of skilled kids on the field to enjoy themselves and some lil link up play.

    • Arara Kumbie 12 months ago

Ugbade is a great tactician. He is the best coach in the tournament.

  • My brother since I dey watch Nigeria football I never see this type of players wey nor get vision direct play all they no is give me I shoot which kind coaching ugbade dey teach

  • The eaglet may yet win just as they did against South Africa. But as I have been saying right from their 2nd match, this team has no midfielders and no attackers. To make matters worse, they are very indiscipline, playing short and careless passes, trying to dribble every opposing player, and playing wayward shots or passes.

When you refuse to be objective in the selection of players to the national team, this is what you get. These players are certainly not the best Nigeria can produce and we all know why this is so – corruption.

  • dominic 12 months ago

i am logging out of my computer this match is no more interesting to me
    but annoying me

  • Adeniyi 12 months ago

These boys should better wake up. Aside from the slippery pitch, Eke and ogbabido are not doing their jobs at all. So
Many lackadaisical play upfront. When you allow your defence to be under pressure, you are just inviting the goal!!  I hope they turn this around or miss the World Cup!

    • Greenturf 12 months ago

I will be surprised we go through. We aren’t good enough. The team lacks organisation and discipline Burkina Faso may as well score another because we give the ball away a lot and in dangerous positions, looks like we are jittery.
I hope they prove me wrong but from what i have seen so far we are heading home.

  • any link please

  • Those that mean ugbade can’t address the scoring problem
That have been the problem with this team right from the first match? This is actually the worst game they’ve played so far, not even about conceding .

  • Proudly 9ja 12 months ago

The fgoal conceded by d Eaglets started with Ogbabido losing posession and owoyemi slipping but in my view the goalie should have partied the ball to d side insite of trying to catch it. Ogboji also guffed as he was too nervous as he wanted to agriculturally clear dat ball instead of just playing it to touch for a corner. Again 8ja does all d playing but concedes stupid goals. People have been pointing out indiscipline in defending, we always go gung-ho when attacking always leaving space at the back for oppositions to exploit. I really hope we can come back . We just need for good chance in d 2nd half and we will equalize. If we get one back then we will win d game.

    • Truetalk 12 months ago

Dat ogbabido in number 18 shirt is the worst midfielder in golden eagles history.. just watch him u will notice what I said..he loses possession of the ball every time the ball gets to him.. nonsense

  • Truetalk 12 months ago

Dis is the worst Nigerian under 17 in history.. that no 18 of Nigeria is playing against his team.. very sluggish and can’t even run or mark…I always say this corruption is at the highest level in Nigeria.. there’s no way you will tell me that this is the best under 17 players in Nigeria..u can only count three players from there as talented players.. others na who you know.. remember that under 17 is all about talent because we expect them to be in super eagles in three or four years to come… nonsense

  • Arara Kumbie 12 months ago

This coach is useless. How can he remove Ogabido? He is the best player.

    • Heureusement car contre le Sénégal qui est le roi d’Afrique on allait faire pire que les u20, on n’allait prendre 3 buts à 0

  • Ikeben 12 months ago

Eagles we win this match that I am sure of. World Cup, here we come.

    • When I told you people that Nigeria will not qualify people started abusing me, nonsense set of people, after seeing the players he assembled I lost hope with the coach knowing fully well that some idiot selected the players for the coach, that’s why I don’t like the idea of local coach

  • Arara Kumbie 12 months ago

The referee is a scam. Too much corruption in Africa. How is that a penalty? Rubbish.

    • Heureusement car contre le Sénégal qui est le roi d’Afrique on allait faire pire que les u20, on n’allait prendre 3 buts à 0

    • FRANCIS 12 months ago

Thought am the only one. How is that ball to hand when they can clearly see the player moving his hands forward. Well too bad. Don’t see any of them coming home with the cup. Maybe senegal

  • Same old story as against Morocco and south Africa. Superior talent-wise, inferior tactical-wise. All opponents were better coached and organiser. They play as a unit, Nigeria plays more as individual. The difference here is that even talent-wise, Burkina Faso are also top, hardly any difference. That gives them the edge.

They conceded first against the last 3 opponents and some people still think it’s mere coincidence. That they’re well coached. 3 times is a pattern. It makes a fact.

  • Proudly 9ja 12 months ago

2:0 up for BFA dis ogboji guy is not very smart. Still d lack of discipline is killing dis team. Ugbade can’t recognize d fact that his RB and LB are exposing d backline. Bring in Precious williams to help d attack. Oh my word. Igbade is poor to be honest

  • Dr. Drey 12 months ago

Hahahahaha….. Oga Godstate…..they are playing rubbish now…??? Or are my eyes deceiving me…??? LMAOoo.

Whatever happened to “….Fear is one of the major enemies of progress….”

What are the Eaglets playing now that is different from all they’ve played since the beginning of this tournament….LMAOoo. They scales of sentiment that covered your eyes seem to have just started to respond to the force of gravity.

Go and play Senegal now and lets see na.

  • any link to watch the match, please

  • Finally over for golden eaglet, no clear short on target, no aggressiveness, always losing ball at the mildle, no direction and two goals down. Yet because they somehow came back from two goals last time, some ppl will not allow us to rest.

Se una dey see future of se now cause many ppl were here shouting that Nigeria now has future.

  • I tender my apologies to football loving Nigerian for supporting this good for nothing team.

  • Emmanuel 12 months ago

Luck is working against us otherwise the Eaglets a playing very well.

  • Even, if they win this match, with the rubbish they have played in this competition so far they can’t win my support again.

  • Kingsley 12 months ago

This team is just rubbish..Just play like secondary schools boys without any technical imput. You cannot count how many times they just loose the boy with a simple pass,no team play..What is with this Defensive midfielder always taking shot from anywhere on the pitch? From angles you cannot score they are taking useless shoots..I will not be suprise the coach will be given another national job after couple of years just like the present UN20 coach ladan bosso after failing at same UN20 2007 ..

  • Wow! Nduka Ugbade failed! The writing was always on the wall for me…….

  • This team really break my heart this night.

  • Stupid idiots waited talents. No striker. All because of tribalism.

  • Professor 12 months ago

I repeat please let them give the Senegalese this cup they deserve it……This is a big disgrace to NFF regarding grassroot sport.

  • Ayphillydegreat 12 months ago

This is the worst GoldenEaglets ever. Ugbade has zero tactical ability. He just assembled a bunch of jokers. The players that holds the team together failed the MRI. Very toothless bunch of players. No midfield no defense attack was toothless. Terribly disappointing.

  • Dr. Drey 12 months ago

    Pride goeth b4 a fall….!!!

Caution has to be the keyword…not fear and not empty boasts.

That has been my submission since the beginning of this tournament after the listless display against Zambia.

We couldnt come back from a goal down in the 2nd minute vs morrocco and needed a goal which VAR should have ruled offside to see off South Africa and boastful Nigerians in their usual emptiness felt we’ve arrived, reminding us how we are “the giant” of Africa and have many talents. One day we will learn to be realistic and stop being blinded by cheap sentiments.

Ugbade should pack his “badass” players and head home. He already won the trophy of the most talkative/boastful coach of the tournament. He should learn henceforth to stoop to conquer.

And once again, another “94 Squad” gladiator bites the dust.

We should stop expecting to build something on nothing.

    Good night Nigeria….!!!

    • Wonderful contribution Dr. Drey.

Let’s be realistic , this team wasn’t ready..

The defender with the mistake for the two goals was still the same boy who scored an own goal against Morocco.. a good coach will replace him with another hungrier player but he kept on playing commiting blunders upon blunders.. probably the coach didn’t have any other player on the bench to replace him

This is one thing I love of bosso the u20 coach.. play poorly and get to sit on the bench, no unnecessarily favouritism.. when our tall goal keeper was missing up, he got replaced by another player on the bench..

It is glaring to see… We were obviously not ready for the world cup. Congratulations Burkina Faso

  • Please i want to ask what is the benefit of pressing your opponents hard and fail to score. What is the benefit of creating chances and not scoring a goal. What is the essence of having 346 accurate passes and not winning game. Vanity unpon vanity.

Just look at the leftfoot back and rightfoot back, falling anyhow when it matter most exposing the two back man and goalkeeper. Is better this way sha than to make it to world cup and go there and play rubbish. Some ex international will not help matter but to hype the team with mouth before any game.

  • Proudly 9ja 12 months ago

Ugbade is pure garbage. He isn’t smart at all. His selections are poor. Even a blind person could see that in every match, the opposition waits and lets the full backs overlapses and the counter us from d wings. Same way morocco, south africa and now Burkina faso. After 2 games u make certain corrections and tell emmmabuel to stay back wen lawali goes forward and vice versa. Why in gods name do u always play ogbabido. From d 1st match i knew he was not good enough to be in dis team but igbade will always play him. The #7 is too slow, the forwards are very poor in front of goal. Am very disappointed in Ugbade to be honest. They were blowing team in 9ja out of d park same way Bosdo’s team was scoring goals for fun but upon arriving at d tournament proper they can score any more. I would say that nigerian youths no longer know how to play soccer as they are more intetested in making moni by fraud than wasting dia time playing soccer, thats d only explanation as i cant for d life of me understand how we can be producing boys like these. There are some good players but majority of dem like in Bosso’s team don’t deserve to be part of dis team. Am pissed off honestly.

  • Firstly, the coach learnt nothing from the very first game till now. I mean there is no shame in changing tactics especially when you have boasted about the individual brilliance of your players to all the teams in the tournament.

Secondly he could not get a proper defence going into a tournament that is a shame on him honestly. For me some of the boys are just individually good but without technical and tactical knowledge. Sometimes where they ought to square play for a tap in they shoot awkwardly and am wondering is the coach blind ni.

Thirdly, the fact he was boastful even before the tournament started about his team means he is technically deficient, he only knows how to talk but no strategy just one way traffic because i don’t understand how you are boastful when ypu have not seen other teams play and again i think the boys are individually good and i am particularly happy they are truly young so hopefully they get clubs coming after them.

  • Chudynak 12 months ago

There should be no reward for any coach that fails as part of consequence management. This coach should not be reengaged for any reason. Let him look for job elsewhere. I am terribly disturbed comparing Nigeria and Senegal. Senegal won U20 AFCON without conceding a single goal. Senegal is in the semis of U17 AFCON and yet to concede. The true stuff of worthy champions. We are just baskets harvesting goals anyhow. Please if we are tired of playing football as a country, let us withdraw in peace as what is happening across all our national teams is a HUGE disgrace. I was lamenting on the outing of the Flying Eagles, not knowing they would be extraordinary compared to these wingless eaglets!

  • What we have seen in the under 17 competition is simply the end result of corruption and nepotism. Otherwise you cannot tell me this is the best under 17 boys Nigeria can produce. This is utter rubbish and I must say, Ugbade is a big disappointment, seeing that he himself was a product of equity, fairplay, and objectivity in team selection by Sebastain Broadrick’s China 1985 under 17 team.

To those of you who claimed that this eaglets were doing well by dominating possession but struggling to put the ball in the net, I think you can all see that possession wins matches and brings qualification to world cup.

I am not one to bring ethnicity and tribalism into football. But I cannot but make this observation. We know that right from inception of Nigeria as a country, it is the South – West and East that have brought countless glory to Nigeria in sports, especially football. But for the past 10 to 15 years, there has been a silent crusade to ensure that sports men and women from the North occupy key positions in all our national teams, be it football or other kinds of sport, even when they are glaringly not the best for such positions. Just as we have it in politics, it has started to affect all our national teams.

The bane of this golden eaglet was corruption and nepotism. Otherwise, there is no way Abdulahi, Umar, and some of the players Ugbade paraded in this competition would have made the golden eaglet team if selection was based on merit. Just look at the display of Cletus that Ungade brought into the match in the 2nd half against Burkina Faso. How on earth did Cletus make the team. Or is Linus the best player Ugbade could find in Nigeria to play the position Linus played? What a shame!

We are waiting to be dished another shame and heartbreak by Ladan Bosso come end of this month.

    • JimmyBall 12 months ago

@Josh stop this nonsense… Ugbade is from South South, Amaju Pinnick is from South South, the guy Ogbabido and Ogboji are Ibo boys, Umar Abdullahi is a fine player… He scored today and rattled the crossbar in first half, I can count over 5yoruba boys in that team… over 4Ibo boys… So what shit are you spilling here? The number 7 you insulted had a decent game even though he did not start and his freekick almost went in… the boys are talented but of course Ugbade needs to upgrade his coaching skills… anyone who knows football and is watching Senegal shd know their senior team down to U-17 plays in a similar way using same structure of playing a high line, Senegal now plays European football because they always have 5 men in the midfield and okay three at the back… Watch them against Burkina Faso and see, Nigeria must learn to play 5man midfield from Super Eagles to U-17 and adapt it in-game as much as needed… This U-17 team was good but the coaching they received was not the best… and yes we can do better with scouting of talents. Most of these players even though decent come from football academies owned by NFF officials and their affiliates… that is part of the problem. Nobody should come here with that nonsense of South East, South West and South South being the best in soccer in Nigeria. Talents are in all regions, we just need better scouting via solid youth tournaments nation wide to unearth the most talented of the lots… We cannot win all the time but yes… it was a disappointment because we beat this Burkina Faso team last year but they have improved and being better coached, they won. Maybe NFF should have allows Nduka go with Ebube Okere and Jibrip Azeez who were starters at the WAFU Zone B. They were left behind because their MRI scan reported grade 5, from grade 4 that it was last year at WAFU Zone B, and NFF insisted on grade 4 for all players while CAF and FIFA pegged the cut at grade 6… So we shot ourselves on the foot even though CAF relaxed the action rule for players who failed MRI scan… Let’s keep monitoring the boys as some of them will be good enough for the next U-20. We must not emphasize winning always but if we had attended the U-17 world cup… it would have been great.

      • Nelson 12 months ago

Thank you for this. Sometimes i wonder the utterances of some fans on this platform. Please tell us how many northern players are in the team compared to the ones from the south. Listen if you care to hear, the team did there best, i fault the NFF just like jimmy pointed out for refusing some players from the WAFU tournament from attending after the MRI grades were upgraded. They should take the blame for this. And for Nduka, honestly he tried his best and its obvious he needed some help. Don’t know what his assistance were doing on the pitch, they neglected the wing play which had helped them in scoring goals, had they started the wing play in the first half, i tell you they would have scored more goals in the first half. Hey, the deed is done, see you all in 2 years, and this regional nonsense needs to stop

      • It is funny how you people run away from the truth even when it is stirring you in the face. Is federal character not legalized in Nigeria. Abi what do you think federal character represents. You people get angry when anybody mentions that federal character, tribalism, ethnicism, nepotism etc is killing Nigeria. Today, Nigeria is governed by a president who can’t boast of 5 O-level WAEC result. But a duly certified professor of law is his subordinate. What do you think that indicates. AS of today, virtually all key top positions in the public sector is occupied by people for the current president’s region., even when they ae not the best or most qualified for such positions and you want to tell me that is not tribalism at play. Okay make you continue to run away from the truth.

Rather than do an introspective analysis of my post, you became defensive and instead resorted to counter accusations. If you did a thorough dissection of my post it will not be difficult for you to deduce that the theme of my post is, “corruption and nepotism; the bane of Nigeria’s football.” I used the word corruption and nepotism because man-know-man, godfatherism, tribalism pay to play etc are examples of how these two words are manifested in Nigeria.

I challenge you to bring out facts and figures to disprove my statement that, “but for the past 10 to 15 years, there has been a silent crusade to ensure that sports men and women from the North occupy key positions in all our national teams, be it football or other kinds of sport, even when they are glaringly not the best for such positions.” I can tell you for a fact that all the people that have won African footballer of the year for Nigeria are all from the South. The best strikers in Nigeria’s history to date, Thompson Usiyen, Rashidi Yekini, and more recently Victor Oshimen (if he successfully translates is club achievements to the super eagles) are all from the South. Do you think that it is a coincidence that the Modupe Oshikoyas, Chioma Ajunwas, Falilat Ogunkoyas, Mary Onyalis, Tobi Amusans, Dick Tigers, Joe Lasisi, Jeremiah Okorodudu, Innocent Egunike etc are all from the Southern part of Nigeria. These are men and women who have won laurels for Nigeria in the past.

Each time Nigeria has won the under 17 world cup, what percentage of players from the North make up the team. The fulcum of players of these championship winning teams have always been from the South and you think that is a coincidence or my ascertions have all along been rubbish? In 1985 we had Victor Igbinoba, Jonathan Akpoborie and this same Nduka Ugbade (that now threw merit to the winds in this year’s under 17) as the fulcrum of the team. In Japan 1993, there was Wilson Oruma, Kanu Nwankwo and Peter Anosike as Fulcum of that team. More recently we had the combination of Kelechi Iheanacho, Isaac Success, and Taiwo Awoniyi giving us glory at under 17 level. We are still savoring the glory that Kelechi Nwakali, Victor Oshimen, and Samuel Chukuweze brought us at this same under 17 level. All this players and their achievements are a known fact to you and all Nigerians. But you want to pretend that tribalism is not killing Nigerian sports and did not do this Nduka Ugbade’s under 17 in. Mind you, each time Nigeria has succeeded at the under 17, under 20, under 23, or super eagles, the fulcrum of the team, especially at the striking position has always been from the South – East or West. You take a look at majority of the strikers Ladan Bosso, Salisu Yusuf and Nduka Ugbade chose to represent Nigeria at this recent under 17, 20, and 23 competitions and the regions they all come from, your guess will be as good as mind. What was their achievements? Were they all desirable? You are free to disprove me if you think I have misrepresented any fact I stated. But when you do, please bring out your own facts.

You see, we can all pretend that there is no tribalism in Nigerian sports or that tribalism is not killing our football. The sad truth is that tribalism will do us no good and will take us no where.

Just as people from the Sahel have all come to the rain forest of the South and are now saying, “give us your land or your life,” and people are pretending that this is not happening under our very watchful eyes. We can also continue to pretend that the silent crusade I’m talking about in Nigerian sports, most especially, football, is not taking place.

    • Mr. Nice 12 months ago

I agree with you on your comment, there appear to be a silent crusade to promote players from the northern part of the country, check all the strikers that gets selected in the u17, u20 & the u23 competition and you will see a clear pattern, funny enough they all produce the same result – failure. If we continue like this our beautiful game of soccer will be reduced to a laughing stock the same way failure Buhari brought Nigeria to it’s knees. Another observation from all our national team of late including the female national teams is the consistency in using our so called traditional wing style of play that has always made the midfield week, this fault I believe is from the NFF technical director who could not force Gernot Rhor to adopt the failed wing style of play and he himself failed woefully with it at the nation’s cup and the last world cup qualifiers.
The solution therefore is to first sack the NFF technical director, sack the coaches including ladan bosso after the world cup then get more experience and corruption free ones to replace them.

Let’s go back to Military rule. Even if u cry your eyes out the politicians who perpetrate this corrupt act of recommending sub standard players for youth teams are very callous, uncharitable and unrepentant. They put their personal interest far above national interest quite unlike the military

  • JimmyBall 12 months ago

The players could have gotten the job done but Nduka Ugbade is not tactically sound… We dominated all games we played but were never able to translate that to match-winning advantage. I also believed while most of the players are talented her relied mostly on good young players donated to him from football academies who have business men running them. We missed Jibril Azeez and Ebube Okere, it’s no shame to say Burkina Faso deserve to go because they played with more discipline, just imagine the first goal conceded by the central defender Ogboji, though the second goal we conceded, a penalty wasn’t so much a foul, it came down to who was the referee on the day… We have seen situations like that in the tournament that went unpunished. Let us have a better structured way of sourcing for talents at U-16/U-17 levels. If we had scored from the first half with chances that came our way, the boys would have settled down to a more relaxed play… Coming back from 2goals against a team as equally strong as the Burkina Faso team was always going to be hard. They matched us well but we had the edge from first and got careless before the break… But the pitch was also quite slippery as both Nigerians and Burkina Faso were falling all over the pitch… But to be sincere, we definitely have better players scattered all over the country at U-17 level but I have a feeling a young player needs the backing of some big club proprietor with links to the cocahes or top guns in NFF to make the team, all these teams like Sidos FC, Giant Brillers, Mavlon FC and Co that these players come from all have influence to get you into U-17 even Simoiben FC owned by Super Eagles player Moses Simon too have links to U-17 camp and selection… The teams dffence was 78% why they got elongated and the attack was 28%. Overall talented team with poor coaching… We look forward to U-20 World Cup now. I am strongly feeling Senegal will win it and it shows they doing something great in their youth football. It’s also clear something happened between WAFU ZONE B triumph and now this tournament… the team was not the same.

When the.team.struck.the goal post twice in the first 30 minutes, I was begging God for mercy as that was a bad omen.

It was not their day. Ugbade has learnt his lessons and Michael the number 3 failed woefully in Algeria. Ugbade stays….

  • These boys failed today simply because most of them were playing to impress scouts invited by their agents, who invaded their training session from what an insider said. Ogabido trying to impress individually, AGADA too, Linus, abubakha trying to score so long a range shots all gave an indication of such selfish aspirations. AGENTS HONESTLY ARE THE REAL PROBLEM OF NIGERIA FOOTBALL. Imagine telling a young player a big team like Barcelona is interested in him at such crucial stage. That alone can make such player play for himself rather than the team and that was so evident in today’s game. ANYWAY I HAVE ENJOYED THEIR FOOTBALL UNTILL THIS MOMENT OF TOO MUCH SELFISH PLAY. HAPPY THOUGH THOSE AGENTS MAY HAVE JUST SUCCEEDED IN WRECKING BUSINESS FOR THEMSELVES.

Yes i noticed a lot of individual plays in this game. They had many chances to break the burkina defense. But selfish play led to there meltdown. Well i hope they have learnt a huge lesson, over reliant on academy players needs to stop, NFF needs to organize more regional games for all age group.

You pipu have started again with Ogbabido. Na wetin? Wetin Ogbabido do una? Make unu leave am joor. He is the next Kevin De Bruyne. Ball know em pipu.
Heaven bless Ogbabido and all our many talents.

    • Hahahaha… The boy dey play ball like d brall. LOLZZ. My problem no be say we lose oo. Na those selfish agents and scouts wey no want to let our football progress. Until something is done to stop them, it’s seems very likely we will continue to experience this downward spiral.
