Imagine at this young age you’re already learning individual glory, rather than team play. It’s 1 minute left to play in extra time, square the ball to a free teammate with a 95% chance to score, but you decided to shoot from a tight angle with a 10% chance.
You guys will only be lucky to go through now. I hope Olowookere and Moshood (who’s almost every edition now, yet is just a one-trick pony; that is, shoot from outside 18 rather than pass the ball to a player in the 18-yard or work her way into it) excuse themselves from the next edition.
Exactly kel. She had 2 players waiting in the box to square too and rather shoot to the keeper. Well the only chance now is to beat Samoa by lots of goals and pray other teams lose. That keeper was just a killer. I don’t still understand those 2 penalty’s were not awarded.
Una dey go World cup everytime just to find penalties? The same thing wey U20 boys do. Na penalty France take score una?. Since you guys never go for the merits, that’s the result wey una go dey get. Was expecting draw cos both teams are playing kick and follow football,they both can’t possess or hold the ball.. terrible to watch really…. As for Nigeria, we’ve never had it bad like this at this level, no pattern of play apart from kicking the ball away or trying to score from ridiculous distance.. This olowokere will go to the next world cup again, we just can’t learn..
This is probably the worst performance from an under 17 female team in Naija history. The coach should be fired. So pathetic. Poor coaching is mainly to blame.
I see no difference between this team and the flying eagles team. So all these months they spent in camp, what have they been doing? Both team looks like they lack the basic knowledge of the game, can’t even string 2/3 passes together, and the goal keeper? Is this really the best we can produce ?
I`m very sure they will still use these coaches in the next edition.
