Nothing good can come to Nigeria until APC is sent out of the governance. U17 team welcome back to shithole call Nigeria.

    • MuYiwa 12 months ago

Let’s not be emotional here. They were unlucky to have conceded that goal and they have dominated the match so far. There is still time to get something out of this match.

    Scores.

Mehn not the one to criticize youngsters but that ogbabido is a very poor footballer, the fact dat he is a starter in dis team is very suspicious. He was extremely bad last game and today is same tin. . Ugbade can’t tell me there are no beyter midfielders than dis dude in 9ja. He is too slow and he loses posession cheaply. Barely contributes to d team. He and owoyemi are poor. Atleast owoyemi adds gragra to his game, he marks and is constantly pressing. Ogbadido’s case is different, he adds no value to dis team. Ugbade should take him off and try someone else in d 2nd half.

Nigeria is dominating except for the final touch. The owngoal was unfortunate. We have a chance in the second half to make our chances count.

    • Emecco 12 months ago

Nigeria is clearly dominating, we will definitely equalize and win the game in the 2nd half.

  • I still insist that the midfield of the wafuB is better than this team.. Nigerian game in all our team is more of wing Play but this team lacks that.. they depend on a right back to open the wings, very strange..

I see us scoring in the second half but this team is not so special..

  • Bobo Colorado Springs 12 months ago

Morocco is not playing anything, just parking the bus. The Eaglets need to finish their chances. Let’s see what they can do in the second half, so far, they are playing well and dominating.

  • Ayphillydegreat 12 months ago

That number 8 is not playing with his head at all and that tall guy in midfield ogbadibo or what not. They’re creating chances but just can find the net. A typical Nigerian team problem of late. Not taking anything away from the Morocco team though. They’re very technical and defend very well.

  • It is not enough to dominate a match. It’s always about putting the ball in the net. This team certainly struggles in terms of scoring and it is due to the weak midfield they have. I still say that this team is not discipline.

Josh men. You have said it all. Thumbs up Brotherman. Lolzzzz

    • Ayphillydegreat 12 months ago

The loss of Ebube Okere and Raphael Oyebanjo has significantly weaken this team. Let’s hope they step up in the second half.

They are playing as if there is no goal . is it that they are really young is the reason they are playing uncoordinated football that lack speed . At the age speed should be paramount not useless tip tap that get them no where. The coach is suspicious, he is a product of this age grade football ,he should know better the quality of players to be invited. have not seen a player from the Nigeria team that has stood out.

Technically Nigeria teams are poor, each time I watch Senegal teams in any competition they are technical though not necessarily skilful or fast. NFF should please raise the standard of coaches appointed to handle National teams . I possible they should stop rotating coaches who have performed below in the past.

Also I expect Amunike and u17 coach to 2013 World Cup to me that team was the best u17 in the history of of u17 World Cup. They should still be there to tutors instead o rushing to take super eagles job

Beats me why Azeez is not in dis team, is he injured? He was one of d stand outs at the last WAFU, I would take Ogbabido out and draft Precious to play his role abd let Abulahi be our pointman and bring Azeez in to play from d left wing (abdulahi’s current position). People might say Precious is a forward but i think he can do better than ogbabido in dat position and he will add attacking input compared to ogbabido. We are d better team and the team is very good but we should stop some useless long balls, when we keep d ball on d ground, the moroccans are chasing shadows but wen we start playing long balks we ball to dia hands. Ugbade should take note, and not wait till 80th minute oo make xhanges. If Azeez is on d standby list then bring in Light Eke to be d pointman and let Abdulahi maintain his position on the right with precious occupying ogbabido’s position. Precious gas strength and attacking mindset

I don’t understand why Nigerians have been stuck with WING PLAY!!

From their national team to this teak, the pattern is the same!

Exploiting the wings whiles the Moroccans midfield is lose damn

  • Omo9ja 12 months ago

I still believe Eaglets will win this match. There are lapses in the team and I hope coach Ugbade will correct that in the second half.

Morocco came with a game plan but our boys and the coaching crew shouldn’t allow that to happen.

So my people, keep calm. God is in control. God bless Nigeria!!!

  • Chelsea syndrome is affecting this golden eaglet team, they are playing without a top strike.false 9 wahala, alagbado na short one

  • pompei 12 months ago

I’m not watching the game, but from the above comments, this Ogbabido of a guy seems to have many fans here. Na so so Ogbabido, Ogbabido, Ogbabido.
Anyway, let’s hope the team recovers in the 2nd half.
Shout out to my main man Selfmade, who predictably has rushed here with Nigeria behind in the game. He just can’t help himself. He must show every time we are losing. He enjoys it so much!

  • Proudly 9ja 12 months ago

Abeg Ugbade no get sense why take off Linus who is one of your better players and keep owoyemi on? Its mindboggling to me. Linus tracks back and is very good on d ball. We go lose d midfield completely now

  • Why all these predictable through passes that are always blocked out?

  • North African and South American teams, they never play fair. Even their kids have learnt the art of faking injuries to waste time after parking the bus for 90 minutes,

    • Footballfanatic 12 months ago

It’s fair game even a Nigerian team will waste time if under such pressure. It wasn’t our day …. We dominated had chances but wasted all….

  • Chima E Samuels 12 months ago

We lost due to lack of strikers killer instinct and hunger. Ugbade overall play is still commendable, some people think creating multiple chances is beans most especially against another top side. Today we lost but I won’t loose sleep because this team is far better than Bosso and co teams that can not play proper football or complete passes.

    • That’s not true.. we criticize bosso too much amd it is not right..

We don’t have a good point man.. and getting possession of the ball without scoring won’t get us anywhere..

Bosso team isn’t as bad as we call it, he lost his best midfielder in daga and had strikers struggling to score ( the reason none of the strikers that went to the u20 afcon is in the camp right Now for the world cup) yet bosso won bronze..

The way this u17 is playing I won’t be surprised they fail to qualify for the world cup,, they created more chances than the Moroccans yet they shoot wide in most of the chances.. that favor guy has no goal sense.. those complaining about the tall no8 should rest , the no 14 that came to replace him did not do better..

It is obvious we don’t have a good bench reason the coach waited till ,80+ mins to have his first change in the first game…the 4 boys who came in today didn’t do better than the boys they replaced…how can you come to a tournament without a good bench or replacement..

Let’s reduce thw Hope we have in this team.. we are in for trouble but I hope they prove me wrong

  • These kids are very good. Just wondering how the Moroccan managed to win.

    Anyway, hopefully we meet again.

  • Ayphillydegreat 12 months ago

This team is shambles I hope I’m wrong. When you have a braggadocio coach claiming his players are bad ass. They can’t score to save their lives. Very disappointing in Ugbade. L

  • Proudly 9ja 12 months ago

Going forward our midgield should be lawali-linus and owoyemi (or another person). The new guy dat was brought in to swap with Lawali is good enough to maintain his place. The midfield is our achilles heel. Precious Wiliams has to do more in terms of goal scoring. I dont think he even scored a goal at d last WAFU which for a striker is very poor. To me i still think we are d best team in dis tournament refardless of dis loss or senegal’s win. We are d most enterprising of all d teams so far imho. If we qualify Ugbade should definitely scout some 9ja boys playing in academies in Europe. Afterall, Senegal, Algeria etc are doing it. Bcos if ogbabido, owoyemi, #14 are d best we can offer then wahala dey ooo. We have 9ja kids doing tins in england, spain, france etc dat can be added to strenthen dis team if we qualify.

  • Footballfanatic 12 months ago

The team played very well and Morocco parked the bus….Worst case we will qualify as a one of the 3rd best teams….We were unlucky. All the stats point to the fact that we completely dominated them but unfortunately dominance is not the same as winning and getting the 3 points…….Ugbade should have expected that quick Moroccan onslaught to get an Early goal and then sit back……As soon as they got that, their game plan was in motion.

  • Chudynak 12 months ago

This team will go down in history as a team that conceded in the second minute and had no answer. Someone said predictable passes that are always blocked, that is the summary of this team. Even against Zambia, it clearly showed and we thought the coach will bring on necessary corrections but the same thing has repeated itself today. It means that if we meet any team that parks the bus, we would definitely not make any headway? The coach failed in this regard.

    • Exactly so if we play teams that park the box we can’t score a single goal..

If favor and the no8 converted the chances They had it would have been a different story.. especially that favor shooting wide all the time..

The loss is a wake up call, they appear to be too relaxed..

Change some of the players, bring in some new boys in the next game.. what is the offense of the azzez? Why is he not in the squad? I don’t like that favor guy , he seems not to know where the goal post is located and yet he plays till 90mins..

Kudos to the Right back and the no 8 they are our best players…

I think people should leave the tall no 18 alone, he is far better than the no 14 that came in for him.. I was expecting so much from the no14 considering he came in at the start of the second half.. he was giving away the ball easily..

Congratulations to Morocco.. sometimes losing is the driving force to good things in the future

  • If they had played this match for another 90 minutes Nigeria will still not score. The reason is very glaring. They lack quality strikers who can bury full and half chances. That being said, this team

    is not disciplined
    has no good midfielders
lacks good replacement players on the bench.
has some players that don’t deserve to be there.

These players, especially those in the midfield coupled with their lack of strikers is the bane of this team. The substitute players are poor. Now if the substitute midfielders are not even as good as the one on the pitch (that we all see are themselves a problem to the team), then, how do they bail themselves out of a tight situation like the one of today. All the problems that have been exposed in this team are the fault of Ugbade. Ugbade has not done his home work well at all. The lapses shown by this team is the responsibility of the coach and he has to take the blame.

If the eaglets meet a rugged team like the Senegalese team, they will struggle to match them or even dominate the game. There is even no guarantee that they will be able to score because they don’t have the players that can score. They have an uphill task of qualifying for the world cup especially because of their indiscipline and lack of ability to score goals.

  • I am so proud of the football being displayed by these Golden eaglets. Truly spell bound, you just can’t take your eyes away for a second. Their profligacy in front of goal, just a confirmation of their young age/inexperience n always going to be expected anyway. But for that unfortunate own goal, they were without doubt the better size. God willing we play with better luck next time. Well done to the entire team; coaches and players.

    • Footballfanatic 12 months ago

Nigerian fans are bipolar…..A lot of you people praised the team and Ugbade after the first game and ignored the fact that these are 15 and 16 year olds but now look at how they are criticizing them harshly due to the unfortunate loss by the way of an owngoal…..If we played badly in this losss I will join in the criticism but No we were just unlucky and didn’t take our chances…

      • Papafem 12 months ago

Nigerians generally are bad losses, even in elections. That’s who we are, young and old, rich ot poor, by the way of definition. We are never graceful in defeat. Hossana today, crucify him tomorrow.

Oro agba ti o se ni owuro ,a se tio ba da oju ale. All hands must be on deck to send Association of Past Criminals (APC)away from the country governance. If devil gives you something be assured that better thing will be taken away from you by the devil. The Glory of Nigeria is at stake as long as APC is at the helm of affairs of governance.
