‘Nigerian Footballers Very Difficult To Manage’ –Former Agent, Monimichelle

Astro turf development expert, Ebi Egbe – aka Monimichelle, has hit out hard on Nigerian footballers, submitting that despite their immense and extraordinary talents which stand them out as some of the best globally, ‘are very difficult to manage’, Completesports.com reports.

Egbe, was formerly a players’ intermediary before he abandoned the lucrative managerial role to venture into astro turf stadium development.

His company, Monimichelle, constructed the now famous Enyimba International Stadium, Aba, Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa and the ongoing construction of Awka City Stadium, in Anambra State.

Monimichelle, as Egbe is popularly called, spoke in an FCT Football Updates personality interview session, casting his mind back at his former profession with a submission that ‘without prejudice, Nigerian footballers are difficult to manage’. Apparently, the reason he quit his initial job as footballers’ agent.

The sports infrastructure developer insists that Nigerian footballers are ‘full of deceit’, a trait he identifies as their bane, making it difficult for them to be managed and which forced him to abandon his footballers manager business to become ‘manager of grasses’.

“Managing grasses is drawn out of passion, and we also draw our inspiration from the good commendation we receive from the main actors on pitch, which is always a thing of joy,” Egbe said.

“But, Nigerian players, they are very difficult. They hardly tell you the truth. They will have about five international passports, they hardly tell you their true age.

“Moreover, after you have nurtured them from childhood to stardom, they will turn their backs on you. They hardly tell you the truth”.

Egbe insists that quality job delivery stands Monimichelle, as a company, out.

“I don’t lobby for jobs, but the good ones we have done speak for us”, he said, rating the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba, as one of the best in the world.

These parasites feed on players’ money and expect to find them easy to manage.

Nigerian players don’t receive any training at a young age about contracts etc. So, they get exploited by agents all the time.

I can’t blame them for always trying to force their way out of terrible situation once they have known better.
