Norwich defender Sean Raggett has agreed to join League One outfit Portsmouth on a season-long loan. The defender has played just nine minutes of football for the Canaries since joining from Lincoln City on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee in August 2017.
He was loaned back to Lincoln during the first half of 2017-18 and the 25-year-old also spent last season with Rotherham as they suffered relegation from the Championship. Raggett’s time with the Millers ended prematurely due to an ankle injury which required surgery and Daniel Farke doesn’t believe he is ready for the rigours of Premier League football next term.
Portsmouth have won the race for his signature and Pompey boss Kenny Jackett believes he has plenty to offer as they look to earn promotion from the third-tier. Jackett told the club’s official website: “We’re delighted to bring him to Pompey and very much look forward to working with him next season. “He’s a very determined person and is just coming into his prime.”
