Nottingham Forest Not Afraid Of Manchester United – Awoniyi

Taiwo Awoniyi insisted Nottingham Forest can get a positive result against Manchester United in their Premier League clash.

Steve Cooper’s side will face another tough hurdle in their relegation fight when they host the Red Devils at the City Ground on Sunday.

Forest have held Chelsea and Manchester City in front of their fans this season and Awoniyi is confident they can achieve similar feat again.

“Previously we’ve played against Chelsea at home as well, we’ve played against City as well and City is also one of the contenders to win the league, we didn’t lose at home,” Awoniyi said to BBC Radio Nottingham.

“Now it is Manchester United which is the first step to what we want to achieve which is the goal to stay in the Premier League.

“Like I said we just have to be ourselves, it doesn’t matter who we are playing, the most important thing is ourselves, and we have to back each other up and obviously we have to fight for the three points. We have to go for it and I believe we’ll get there”.

Awoniyi has scored four goals in 19 league appearances for the Nottingham Forest this season.
