NSF 2022: ‘We Have Surpassed Our Target’ –FCT Sports Director

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Director of Sports, Istifanus Luka, has expressed satisfaction with the performance of the Team FCT contingent at the 21st National Sports Festival, NSF, tagged Delta 2022 holding in Asaba, Delta State capital, reports Completesports.com

Mr Luka told journalists soon after FCT clinched her 11th gold medal that the ongoing biennial sports fiesta was a historic one for the territory compared to the previous outings, adding that he is impressed with the performance of Team FCT so far.

“We have made history with this performance as it is our best-ever outing. It is historic and I am happy it is coming at this time when the FCT administration is giving us massive support. I am so happy for the government, people and athletes for what they have achieved so far, ” Luka said.

“The performance is a reward for the hard work and commitment of the coaches and their athletes and going forward, we can only improve on this in future games. All our athletes are locally grown by the coaches, we don’t poach, we produce our athletes and we are so proud of our achievement

“We have surpassed our target for this Games and we might still win more gold medals that might see us finishing among the top six in the medals table. It is a massive achievement and we have to step in next festival,” he said.
