The Golden Eaglets earned a place in the quarter-finals of the men’s football event at the 2024 National Sports Festival following a 0-0 draw with Team Delta.
The Eaglets started their campaign with a 2-1 victory over Team Edo on Monday.
Abdulmuiz Adeleke and Mohammed Imrana were the scorers for the five-time world champions.

The Flamingos drew 0-0 with Abia State in the women’s football event on Monday.
Bankole Olowookere’s side defeated Delta State 1-0 on Tuesday with Jumai Adebayo scoring the goal.
They will return to the pitch on Thursday against Lagos State, before completing their group stage campaign against Enugu on Saturday.
The two teams are part of the exciting new concept of IJA (Invited Junior Athletes) which has drawn praise from observers and stakeholders since the commencement of the Games.
