Nwakali Makes Huesca Debut In Home Defeat To Mirandes

Former Golden Eaglets captain Kelechi Nwakali made his long awaited debut for SD Huesca who fell to a 2-1 home defeat against Mirandes in their Spanish Segunda Division clash on Thursday evening , reports Completesports.com.

Nwakali replaced Sergio Gomes in the 83rd minute of the encounter played at the Estadio El Alcoraz.

The midfielder was unused substitute in Huesca’s previous league game against Malaga.

Nwakali linked up with Huesca on a permanent deal from Premier League club Arsenal last summer.

Mirandes took the lead through Alvaro Rey two minutes after the hour mark, while Rafa Mir equalised for the visitors eight minutes later.

Alvaro Pena netted the winning goal for the visitors 18 minutes from time.
