Maduka Okoye kicked off the new campaign on a perfect note, as he was in goal for Udinese who thrashed Serie C club Avellino in the first round (round of 32) of the Coppa Italia.
Udinese took the lead with four minutes left in the first half thanks to Brenner.
With five minutes into the second half Florian Thauvin made it 2-0 after converting from the penalty spot.
Just eight minutes after the second goal went in, Udinese took a 3-0 lead through Lorenzo Lucca.
Then with three minutes left Keinan Davies wrapped up the game for Udinese by adding the fourth goal.
