The organisers of the Canadian ATP Masters 1000 canceled Friday’s fixtures at the Omnium Banque Nationale présenté par Rogers in Montreal due to rain.
According to a report by ATP Tour, the tournament officials took action and suspended the full schedule as heavy and persistent rain, associated with the remnants of post-cyclone Debby, made play highly unlikely at any stage of the day.

The cancellation of Friday’s fixtures disrupted the plans of several top stars, including Jannik Sinner, who will now need to play twice on Saturday, August 10, if they are to continue in the draw.
Top seed Sinner will face 15th seed Alejandro Tabilo not before 12:30 p.m. on Court Central. If he wins, he will return to the same court not before 7 p.m. to face the winner of the match between fifth seed Andrey Rublev and qualifier Brandon.
