Olatokunbo Foundation Splashes Cash Rewards As Unshackled Challenge Cup Hots Up

Teams in Lagos State are in for a treat as the Olatokunbo Foundation is doling out cash rewards for the Unshackled Football Challenge Cup.

The tournament which kicked off at the Nathaniel Idowu Stadium in Ajegunle has 8 teams vying for honours across threes stadia’s in Lagos state.

Paddysco FC is determined to return to winning ways when they face Ajegunle United today ( Friday) in their second match of the ongoing Unshackled Football tournament.

Smarting from their 0-3 loss to Youngsters in their opening game, Paddysco FC will hope to redeem their image and progress in the three weeks football tournament geared toward unifying Nigerian youths.

The Unshackled Progressive Football Challenge Cup is select teams in Lagos state, is geared towards getting the youths positively involved in the upliftment of the country , helping in capacity building and as well as encouraging the youths in channeling their talents to get the desired results.

According to the organizers of the tournament Paddysco Sports Academy Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Peter Okereke, the essence is to preach peace in a very short form and Olatokunbo Foundation deemed it fit to come up with this initiative.

“While we are using the tournament as a developmental program, We are also using it to get the youths involved in Nigeria’s unity.we are also using it as point of contact to discuss the progress of Nigeria.

“We are going to see a very good tournament because the organizers have done so very well in ensuring a well packaged event, it is all about positively doing something to help the nation grow.

Each Team is expected to play 3 Matches in League Format between April 3 – April 26. Four Teams at Legacy Pitch of the National Stadium and another Four Teams at the Nathaniel Idowu Stadium.

Meanwhile, winners of the tournament will smile home with N500, 000 , trophy and medals, N300,000 for runners up , while third place winners will get N200, 000 including medals and for their efforts.
