Osimhen Arrives Istanbul To Seal Galatasaray Move

Victor Osimhen was greeted by thousands of Galatasaray supporters in Istanbul on Tuesday morning following his arrival to complete his loan move from Napoli.

Osimhen was frozen out of the Napoli squad after failing to secure a move on transfer deadline day.

The Nigeria international will join Galatasaray on a season-long loan deal.

The Turkish Super Lig will cover his entire €10m salary.

The 25-year-old also insisted on a break clause which will allow him join another club permanently for €75m in January.

The forward also signed a one-year contract extension until 2027.

He joined Napoli from Lille in September 2020 for €79m, scoring 76 goals with 18 assists in 133 games.

Lmao… Turkish league, a mediocre league is like a pensioners league almost like the saudis league…drogba, vanpersi, falcao played there in their mid 30’s.. the ones that played there while under 30’s like maybe (only sneidjer I think so)knew that they could no longer deliver in the best and biggest of league and club… And it was not even on loan…

But here you have a fool making a foolish decision going there when his best in football is yet to come… lmao…

And it’s even on loan… lmao

Lmao..Osimhen is just 26 abi 27 self with lots of prospect and is making the dumbest decision that their drogba could not make but had to wait till when they are carrying walking stick around but yet it turned out to be a wise and smart decision(from drogba)..

And the funny thing is some people are hailing him while indirectly pushing him to his career fall…

But we that are criticising him, they call us evil but we all want the best for him….

Oh how the mighty has fallen. A serie a winner on loan, to a turkish league. Guy done ruined his career SO FAR right now. I bet going out in public saying how bad he wanted to play in the premier league was worth it! Blame the circle he is in and former players like drogba and obi mikel for being self serving. This is straight embarrassing.

Osimhen was not a priority for chelsea. They signed many other attacking players before osimhen. Chelsea wanted osimhen due to inner circle influence. Chelsea had no money, so they offered a serie a leading winner a loan with an option to buy

Conte said there is no way back for osimhen and he meant it. The club was disrespected and punished osimhen. They both disrespected each other,  but the club comes first. But who doesnt know conte? He probably ruined the club, because he is rash and hard. He throws players under the bus. He is good for league titles but not european championship. As soon as napoli start loosing he will go crazy and most likely get sacked. Napoli last year was 10 with osimhen and krava. Napoli sold a lot of supporting players to psg and bayern and kept his strong assets

The club/business comes first, fans need to remove the emotion the love of osimhen first. Because no matter what he do he will always have a backing from his fans making him spoiled. Lukaku did the same exact thing osimhen did. After going to chelsea lukaku told reporters he wants to go back to serie a and play. Chelsea was disrespected and then pulled lukaku out of the lineup and he’s been on loan ever since

De laurentis is a business man. He wants what he wants. He is like daniel levy the owner of spurs. They are tight with set prices on players. Coaches wanted to sell dele ali but levy put a heavy price on such a crap player. What napoli did with osimhen was strategic. They was not gonna make the premier league teams better by giving osimhen, so they wanted to send him to the middle east, but osimhen declined even though saudi have money. So turkey is second best.

This reminds me of nba spurs with kwahi leonord. He made it known he wanted to play for la clippers, he wanted to be traded, had his camp making it known to the news doing the talking for him. So spurs a western conference team sending him to another western conference team was stupid, you are making another team in your conference stronger. You know what spurs did? They shipped him to the eastern conference toronto raptors which was smart. Crazy thing, kwahi leonord still won the nba title with the raptors the following year lmaoo. And went to the clippers the year after. De laurentis the business man

Osimhen is being humbled, he did this to himself. Signed a extension early this year and now look. I never seen such commotion coming from other players right now. Lookman scored a hat trick in europa league for a serie a team. Teams wanted him after that. The coach put him to the side so the transfer wont distract the team. And now they brought him back. Ademola played in the premier and he wanted out and now hes thriving. Let this be lesson to other Nigerian players. Be humble, because Osimhen is being flogged in front of everybody. This music and scamming scene in Nigeria got these Nigerians acting up

The next step is being sold for 1 year left on contract or leave on a free. Guy signed a 130mil extension earlier this year, thats on him

It appears like reading and understanding is still a challenge to some people. Osimhen made the best decision here. He’s almost free from Napoli’s bondage with this loan deal.January is just three months away. He’ll get a better club.
This useless Napoli did the same thing to Kalidou Koulibaly. When Koulibaly was red-hot and in top-form, they refused to lower his price until he lost form. They now sold a finished Koulibaly to Chelsea. The owner is simply a greedy person.

Lmao..Am telling you shuma.. if dey like let them speak the big big grammar in the world…the truth is this osimhen’s decision is borne out of frustration.. it’s not the best…

If some forumites like let them speak the big big grammar in the world and twist it

  • “The 25-year-old also insisted on a break clause which will allow him join another club permanently for €75m in January.”

Good clause to insert in the contract. Now he’s thinking like a businessman, and not just as a football. You must match professional skills/passion with good business thinking to succeed.

With a €75m release clause, elite clubs will line up for him in January as long as he does very well in Gala between now and then. I guess he left the initial $130 clause to his agent or club president to make, putting him in a tricky situation.

I think Galatasaray has a decent cup cabinet and have won the european and super cup once. so it is not so bad considering the options left to osihmen. One prays he learns from it and build his career from there on. But on a downsize, in as much Osihmen had his fault, i still think he was treated disrespectfully by both Napoli, Chelsea and PSG. If he was European, are they saying they will not grab him or pay him much better than what they were offering. we may criticize the young man; but you will also admit, there are a lot of mediocre strikers earning pay in some clubs that has not gotten to his level

    This is a brilliant move..

Better to continue playing actively in turkey than no football at all and January is 3 months away from now and if he goes well( which we know he will) top clubs will be begging him in January with thqt release clause he insisted on.

Agreeing to the release clause of 130 was a great mistake, not too many clubs in the world can afford that and those that could might not be willing to spent that much..

Osihmen should bang goals in turkey and show the world what he can do..

Wishing him injuries free 3 months

  • As most as alluded to, by agreeing to the renewal of his Napoli’s contract with a release clause of 130m, was the oversight made by Osimhen. He was baited into renewing by the tremendous increase of his salary, that he became too trusty of an avaricious shrewd businessman like De Laurentis, who cares about no one but himself. That is a ploy that can take out most that are simply fixated on the now rather than long term.
When one drinks from an open stream, you have to focus on your surroundings as well.

That said, going by this move to Galatasaray and the new contract, it seems Osimhen has learned. It is a well-crafted contract and can favour Osimhen in long run. Galatasaray is a huge club with a decent trophy cabinet. Playing in Europe with a passionate fanbase. All Osimhen has to do is to keep fit, score goals and wait it out. The future is good. It can only get better.

I wish him all the best.

  • Only soccer illiteracy makes a novice excited that Victor has fallen!!
They don’t know much about European clubs negotiations. They wanted to tied victor down to a slave control measures and either make most money or put fear of stock devaluation into him. He fought with his brains bcos playing for a big club does not guarantee financial security is our today’s needle economy! What many of the 1994 set could not achieve with their business brains is what Victor Osimhen is Teaching the Youths of Today. I agree that he needs to cut down his youthful exuberance and become more tolerant while he understudies CR7 approach to financial Algebraic Equations, CR007 Lectures!!

@ Wings6666, this OSimhen move is a sweet move coz it’s an opportunity to add Turkish Super League to his Resume while he builds his stocks with so many goals.

Also, don’t forget Galatasaray is playing UEFA Europa Cup this season.

Another thing I love on this move is the fact that Osimhen will collect his usual BLOCK at Galatasaray, something Chelsea refused to offer.

To conclude, Napoli is the biggest loser in Osihmen transfer Saga.

Napoli as a club is not playing in Europe this season and I don’t see them winning a trophy as well.

Congrats to Osimhnen and Goodluck to Napoli.
