Victor Osimhen is set to be out until early March according to Napoli doctor after he was knocked unconscious in last weekend’s league game.
Osimhen fell backwards and hit his head on the turf during the Serie A match against Atalanta on Sunday and was dropping in and out of consciousness.
He was rushed to the local hospital for tests, which fortunately all came back clear.
But it has emerged he has no memory of the incident.

He suffered head trauma with memory loss,” explained neurosurgeon Alfredo Bucciero to Radio Kiss Kiss.
“Now the medical tests are showing good results, but we still need to wait for the natural recovery time to be completed.
“We don’t have signs of a haematoma on the brain, nor damage to the skullcap. We must be cautious, he needs at least a week of complete rest.
“I think he could be available again from early March. Osimhen is in a rush, he wants to play and asks me to hurry up the process, but in these situations, rest is necessary. We cannot run any risks.”

I think it’s obvious the young man needs to be left out of the upcoming afcon so he can use that period to continue his recovery especially mentally. It would also be a good faith gesture on our part to Napoli otherwise I forsee a contentious relationship moving forward. That wouldn’t be beneficial to either Victor or Nigeria.
Players like musa, chukwueze and Osimhen should be left out of the list. To redisover their form and sort out their club issues. There are so many players we can invite in their absence. Olayinka, desser, dennis etc are all fit and can take their place if only to occupy the bench, while players like simon, iwobi, onuachu/moffi/iheanacho can start upfront. Report has it that we JUST need a point to scale through, so why invite players with issues when you can use players who are ready to go with no issues. The coach should be careful and make the right decision for the players and the team.
Napoli is a frustrating team to watch. The players just do their own thing. They should have invested more than just Osimhen, because these
are not quality players. The president fired Ancelotti, because during his stint the team was doing awful just sitting in 7th place and a bunch of winless games. In Seria A culture they have to go to camp and train extensively. Barely any players showed up or listened to the president, then the president fired Carlo Ancelotti. Look at Carlo now with Everton. The players revolted and didn’t listen to orders. They rely on Koulilbaly so much that the president put a heavy price tag on him. I know Serie A is a different type of league, known as a defensive league. But the way the players were going at Osimhen was crazy. He got knocked over so many times and now had to leave on a stretcher. Atalanta committed the most fouls. Both teams looked stun to what happened to him.
Osimhen playing style reminds me of Harry Kane. He can score spot up, but cant really dribble the ball past players, for long without being halted by players and or turning over the ball. His playing style rely on midfielders to pass him the ball, but they don’t. In Lille when I watched Osimhen play his teammates passed him the ball, they were good teammates and now they are number 1 in lique 1. Europa league tomorrow, I dont think Napoli gonna make next round. Osimhen scored 2 champions league goals last season, like cmon.
This is a Spot on assesment of Napoli @Shuma. You have done well. They don’t pass the Ball to Osimhen. It is affecting thé team. Gattuso has refused to correct This malaise
