@ Monkey Post, I read some of your post and honestly get the sense but this your forever clamour for Rohr gives a sense of selfish personal benefits denied by his sack.
I might be wrong but I can be pardoned when my reasoning tallies with the fact that you were hardly a voice during those times we Rohr supporters were lending all support to Rohr against those anti-Rohr. I can’t remember reading anything from this name Monkey Post. We had myself, Drey, Oakfield, Ubfl, Hush, Greenturf, Marvelous, Ben, Emecco, etc but you were no where then. Probably Rohr would not have been sack if you spoke out then just as you doing now.
Rohr is gone and that stays while we move on. Lessons have hopefully been learnt and any more clamour for him to return can only be seen as been motivated by selfish gain .
THAT SELFISH GAIN HAS ALWAYS BEEN NIGERIA’S PROBLEM IN ALL FACETS WITH REGARDS TO MAKING PROGRESS AS A NATION. THAT SELFISH GAIN GOT ROHR SACKED, THAT SELFISH GAIN INFLUENCES PLAYERS CALLED UP TO NATIONAL TEAM, THUS NEGATIVELY AFFECTING GETTING THE RIGHT BLEND OF PLAYERS, WHICH ULTIMATELY MADE US FAIL TO QUALIFY FOR THE WORLD CUP.
UNTIL A GREATER PERCENTAGE OF NIGERIANS DO AWAY WITH SELFISH INTEREST, NIGERIA WILL CONTINUE TO BE THAT GIANT BODY GUARD, WORKING FOR THE SMALL INTELLIGENT NATIONS.

Yeah…you are absolutely SPOT ON here for once (laughs)

@GLORY, in honest FAIR PLAY to @MONKEY POST, he was one of ONLY about 4 or 5 PRO ROHR geng who sustained the fight till the very end and hasn’t taken his FOOT off the gas for once. Among those EXCLUSIVE CLASS OF PRO ROHR HARDLINERS were the CHAIRMAN of the group DR DREY, UBFE, OAKFIELD and TAYO! Even GREENTURF ditto @GLORY moved on from ROHR when EGUAPALACE( apologies to another PRO ROHR who jumped ship but now shamelessly singing ROHR ROHR) was BLOWING AWAY all comers during the GROUP STAGE of last AFCON!

The 5, including MONKEY POST who famously always called ROHR; GENERAL were never impressed with EGUAVOEN until the day DR DREY came out to say I TOLD YOU ALL SO!!!!

I don’t SEE eye ball to eye ball with @MONKEY POST; lol, but we cannot RUBBISH his legacy on this forum as one of the STAUNCHEST and UNREPENTANT supporters of GERNOT ROHR on this platform!

      • @Glory, you know I’ve once thought about this? It got to a stage , I tot Ubfe was the one that has been using Monkey Post. I started noticing the name Monkey post when the sacking of Rohr was very close and he turned to something else as soon as Rohr got sacked and suddenly, Ubfe started fading out small small. Some of us have all seen the gradual downfall of Eagles coming and we predicted it for so long. But some people enjoyed that old epileptic football games of super Eagles I.e win two lose five of the past.
So.. Let’s sit and enjoy the ride till it ends.

Take heart. Let us all ensure that NFF does the right thing and employs a first-class coach to guide the SE. @Greenturf floated an idea in another thread that we should employ an English coach to attract quality players abroad to the SE. One would raise the question of whether we can pay such a coach. I am not particular about getting an English coach, just a top-quality coach. Why not? Nigeria is sitting on abundant natural resources. The revenue from their exploitation is stolen misapplied and siphoned into private accounts. Forgotten the case of f&&d&&g f%% on poor [email protected]@@@@’s m$$$y?

Another problem is that the country is teeming with wicked and selfish opinion leaders. If Nigeria gets a coach with a paycheck of $150,000.00/month, racists with a poverty mentality will embark on a hunger strike until he is relieved of his post. They’ll begin to write toxic and threatening articles until the coach becomes uncomfortable. But the local saying in Nigerian villages goes: Good soup na money make am!

We must all have a radical transformation in the way we think. If Ghana can afford to pay a sound coach, even on a part-time basis, why can’t Nigeria? Like the stupidity and greed exhibited by Pinnick. You pick the least qualified applicant because he has the smallest salary demand (which he’ll still share with you) and you complain that the SE has been trashed 4———-0????? Next time it may be 6-0. Penny wise pound foolish.

This is the footsteps all our player need to take, there’s a lot of mediocrity in our football, I watched England vs Senegal, the Senegalese failed to capitalise on their chances, but the English did, they made a lot of stupid mistakes, a foul could have stop the English from scoring. But it’s football, but Africans are failing to learn.
At least one African country should play like Japan, park the bus, wait for penalty. Football naa sense.
Imagine all our players are playing in mediocre clubs, if Harry Kane can defend for England, wetin do our players? If that England meet Tunisia, them go hear am.

@ Monkey Post, if you were indeed part of the group then that staunchly supported Rohr but using different ID, how then do you expect me or any other person to know?
You see, this whole idea of forumites using different IDs to speak against n for opinions, people etc just tells everything about the Nigerian negative way of doing things; DISHONESTY. Imagine, for things as simple as identifying with what we’ve got to say about our football, people morph into different names, IDs etc and we expect Nigeria to improve? MAY GOD HELP US.
Anyone can say whatever they like about me, I will not have to change Id for any reason. I supported Rohr when it was reasonable to support him but when it became obvious Rohr was losing his motivation due to serious external pressure on his job and looking pretty likely he was gonna be sacked albeit without credible reason, I supported him to go, if only to allow those who wanted to satisfy their EGO eat the cake to their satisfaction. And I have thoroughly enjoyed watching them constipating from over eating that cake.
Rohr is sitting back in his home, enjoying being paid for doing nothing. Nigeria failed to go to world cup while Ghana did. WHAT ELSE IS MORE SATISFYING FOR ALL THOSE WHO WERE STRONGLY STANDING BY ROHR? BUT ASKING FOR ROHR TO COME BACK WILL BE TANTAMOUNT TO SELFISH INTEREST.

And I had to change I.D only to get at those ANTI ROHR SUPPORTERS back in the day nothing more nothing less… Not for any dubious reason.. am a good NIGERIAN if you get to see me one on one

And you confirming that you later withdrew your support for GENERAL ROAH shows that I knew all of you right from crash…

And you are even part of the reason why we are not at the world cup and we didn’t win our 4th afcon title in Cameroon…

‘Thank You For Everything’ — Osimhen Pays Tribute To Rohr After Nigeria Sacking

Victor Osimhen has paid tribute to former Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr following his sacking by the Nigeria Football Federation, reports Completesports.com.

Rohr was sacked on Sunday as a result of poor performances.

      1xBit
Sparta Rotterdam goalkeeper Maduka Okoye was the first player to pay tribute to the 68- year-old, and Osimhen has now joined his international teammate in eulogising the coach.
”Thank You For Everything Coach And I Wish You All The Best,” the Napoli forward wrote on his Twitter handle.

The 22-year-old made his Super Eagles debut under Rohr and has scored 10 goals in 18 appearances for the team.

Osimhen’s meteoric rise under Rohr won’t be forgotten in a hurry by the young man…the numbers speak for themselves, double-digit golazos in such a short time, I’m not sure if even Yekini himself moved that fast with Westerhof!
Maybe someone in the comments underneath can help clear that up, hopefully

10 goals in 18 matches is even being modest when you consider the fact that Osimhen didn’t score in open play until his match no 9 for Nigeria.
This same Rohr gave Osimhen his chance at the age of 18 when the boy was still struggling at Wolfsburg. Same Rohr was influential in his loan move away from Wolfsburg after speaking with the coaches at the club.

Same Rohr toughened Osimhen up to the ‘gong-ho’ Didier Drogba-esque styled striker we know him to be now by advising him to stop falling to the ground too easily and man-up in the face of opposition. Victor Osimhen and many others in the current SE sure have a lot to be thankful to Gernot Rohr for.

That is the Gernot Rohr liars claim does not trust young players….LMAOOoo…. yet we have paraded the youngest team in the 2 tournaments he led us to. Lies may be on the run for ages, the truth just needs a day to catch up…..LMAOooo…and it is already catching up so fast.

@Dr.Drey yes we understand Rohr was good initially and has helped in a way however modest to move the needle forward on Nigeria football and players development. Unlike most ppl with agendas or just want to criticize for the sake of it Rohr did loose a lot of the goodwill he had amongst most fans with his questionable decisions both in player call ups and in game tactics and management . For some reason he became timid, very unsure of himself and lacked the conviction to lead a team like SE and in all honesty if he kept going the way he did Nigeria will definitely have won nothing under him. Mentality and tactics is everything in today’s football and we see it from all the successful teams from England (Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea), Italy (Napoli, Inter Milan, AC, Atalanta), Germany (Bayern, Dortmund, Hoffenheim) I could go on. Everywhere you look all the successful teams wether club or country have a playing strategy/philosophy and almost all play an aggressive, high press, high energy, attacking system).

In every aspect of the modern game if we want to be honest with ourselves Rohr lacked the ability to compete at a high standard. If you cannot play with freedom, impose and assert yourselves against teams like CAR, Cape Verde etc is it when you face the likes of Argentina, Spain, Germany, France eta that you will play with belief and conviction? A lot of us liked Rohr and I was one of his fierce supporters and when his contract renewal was up I wanted him to continue but boy did he disappoint. This is a time Nigeria has very talented, hungry for success, fast and dynamic players that I have ever seen in my lifetime and I fully watched the Kanu and Okocha era. I remember getting up at 1-2am in morning to watch the games then. Those of us looking objectively just know Rohr lost something a long the way and if it was Pinnick and co influencing him unduly he could have spoken out, kept his integrity all of us fans would have stood by him and push comes to shove he would have worked away with his head held high and still got paid for the remainder of his contract.

One thing can’t be taking away from rohr. He help most of the se present career wise. I knew this was worried about many se players not having a good club and how he giuded balogun, etobo, even at a time mikel when he was frozen out of chelsea squad.

He was like a father to them all, up until we stared hearing the sound bits of include local players in your plan.

He brought back discipline and humbliness to the team compare to days of maphia that we have before.

How come this same man lost control of dressing room as cliamed by pinnick or picknic i don’t get it.

These are the questions we should ask NFF. What are the factors that responsible for that. Is it players, Rohr himself, members of technician crew or government officials.

      Sammy 12 months ago
Bros, you know the story of the hunt will always glorify the hunter. This is the case with Rohr. This man was sometimes owed 10 months salaries and 18 months allowances and he never trashed the NFF in the media.

Even now he has left the job, he’s still not trash talking them. He has also done an interview defending Iheanacho and co against charges of indiscipline before the match with Cape Verde.

To be fair this man is not perfect, but anyone who says he didn’t do a good job is just being economical with the truth. The mantle has now been handed over to this so-called consortium of coaches. We will support them 100%, and we look forward to good results.

The so-called NFF that has trashed Nigerian football at every level bar the Super Eagles and Falcons will have their comeuppance some day; because not long from now “a Pharaoh who doesn’t know Joseph” will ascend the throne, and they’ll surely account for what they’ve done to Nigerian football development in the last six years.

Yes discipline and humbleness is correct. Rohr guided his wards and even went as far as opening new frontiers in their careers.
Then came Algeria coach Belmadi who admonished African FAs to trust in their local coaches this was before Algeria and Senegal clashed at the final of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
It’s a candid opinion that we need to build on the local content dotting our space. So far, Eguavoen crew has taken some steps coming within hours.

Under Rohr’s reign, players reported early to camp and if you came late, you were rightly dropped (okoye against CAR). Never did we hear of players fighting in camp as we heard under the reign of other coaches. Rohr had his shortcomings but then I ask, did the NFF do anything to help him overcome his shortcomings? Do you guys really think Rohr was the one who invited noble to eagles camp? Rohr who has always been sceptical of our league players would suddenly invite a goalkeeper that had been inactive for months?

@ Monkey Post. I respect your opinion as well as others here whether for or against. I am just trying to say life is dynamic n not static, hence however it was a huge mistake to make Rohr’s environment very unconducive for him to truly achieve anything meaningful, we must now have to move on . If Rohr was your father, will you advise him to return back to Nigeria considering NIGERIA’S present situation. I honestly will not because Nigerians hardly appreciate anything or anyone with good/honest intention. I’d rather advised he stayed back in Germany and continue to enjoy free money.

Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr hopes Victor Osimhen will be fit for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, reports Completesports.com.

Napoli announced three days later that the forward will be sidelined for three months after he underwent an operation.

Rohr should be allowed to continue what he started. If he fucks up at the Afcon the we sack him. There is no money to pay him off. Rohr is noble and honest. He doesn’t commit anything bribery thing and he is honest in team selection although the NFF imposes some players on him which he has no power to reject. Anyone that accuses Rohr of wrongdoing without evidence is a fuckin liar who needs to be flogged in public.

After the game against Benin republic I don’t no wat happened to the eagles . Though Benin scored 1st but they must have regretted doing so because the eagles dazed Dem throughout the game and the score would have been up to 4 . But after Benin maybe someone or sometwo players are not suppose to be in the team and there was a bad performance in the other games with serria Leone comein to score 4 goals back and CaR coming to hit Dem hard before cape men. So Nigeria super eagles now need a rematch to win back fans . Wen wil dey face Madagascar again . Go and look at the game against Madagascar . . U see that some guys are not suppose to be in the team. Again.

Well said Brodaman. We should not rely on Osimhen only lefy to me he should be left out of Afcon to fully recover and help Napoli win the scudetto. Nigeria will be fine without Osimhen. No need to rush him back.

I love what I’m seeing of Calvin Bassey in Rangers Match against Lyon. Very intelligent defending from Central back. He has so far pocketed Ekambi. He’s has more than two one on one duels with the Cameroonian. Can we just groom this guy to take over from Ekong?

It has suddenly become stupid that one watches a match where a fellow Nigerian is doing so well in an unfamiliar position and calls the attention of others to it. What exactly is nonsensical in that post?

Interesting! Another good news for Nigerians. With a fit Victor Osimhen joining the fray, our Coach, Coach Gernot Rohr now has many options at his disposal and this is translating to a successful execution of Afcon in our favor. God bless, our homeland, Nigeria.

Osimhen proved it in his club side. In one of the post I told the platform that Rossi said it all, it’s just like saying it will be difficult for the Super Eagles of Nigeria to win Afcon without Osimhen.

Guys from a reliable source (insider) I was told that Gernot Rohr really contributed massively by giving Napoli some contact of some very good medics in Germany who had to fly down to Italy to join in treating Osimehn and ensure his quick recovery. Wow…this man is so nice.He goes beyond a coach. He is a manager and a father to our boys…

Since it is a ++, it is a good news from all ramifications. Coach Rohr should look at Aina, Tyrone, Anwamzien, Collins of paderborn and see how they can assist the flanks, running from defence to the 18yd.

@Alphonso Gbefumu, being interesting makes it sumptuous, what an aroma? God’s willing Victor will be playing to the joy of many in Cameroon. He lights from the center field to the 18 yard box was what a Senegalese friend said recently.

I’m trying to search for the name of the guy, he said Rohr is taking SE of Nigeria to AFCON despite the up and down noise as at then, then some pple were like awe, saying it’s not going to be possible, sack roar was a slogan. They call Sunny Darey names, Ministry is coooropt, Amoju Pikin, they say sack nff but this is still csn forum where the forumites come to push their case and possibly to influence decisions as adults o. Where are we? I have the confidence to tell everyone present that Osimhen, a Nigerian from Edo State is the best to happen to our striking department.
Pls if you remember the name of that guy, let me know tru reply.

It’s like Osidion is his name, he also said Ighalo and Osimhen would be paired to play in the same match, even when Ighalo said he could play with bare skin. Everything is still like yesterday nah. Sincerely, I am glad Osimhen is recovery fast but what is NFF saying about preparations?

Nice1 @S. S . Bola Matthew, with the rumoured inclusion of Victor Moses and the lads you proposed here, our flanks will come alive again. I remember the days of Mobile Okparaku, Cele Babayaro, Amunike and Elahor coming from the center to assisting the flanks. Attention should also be concentrated in the midfield to make Osimhen and co job easier.

Rhor must put Calvin Bassey as a subistitute of Troost Ekong and Awziem sub. of Balogun on center back; on backs: Ola Aina as right back with Tyronne Ebuehi as sub.; on left back: Jamilu Collins with Zaidu Sanusi as sub.;on defensive midfield: Wilfred Ndidi with Okechukwu Azubiuki as tow midfielders,Inocent Bonke and Etebo as sub.;Alex Iwobi and Ovie Ejaria and James Igbikeme one of them can be a playmaker; Victor Moses is a left winger with Dennis Bonevonture and Ahmed Musa with Simon Moses as sub.; on right wing: Samuel Chukwueze with Akinkunmi Amoo as sub.; Odion Ighalo,Victor Osimhen,Sadiq Umar, Cyriel Dessers all are excellent and perfect forwards for Super Eagles. If Rhor put thoes players in a suitable functions and places with drastic and ferious and ferocious defensive style center back and midfield with pressing playing with also a good reading on the rival, drastic control on the rival’s key players, keeping the ball on along time, exploit set-pieces of the rival in order to score easy goals, give drastic instructions to defensive midfielders and backs to play sliding tackling on the ball to cut the it; give also drastic instruction for them(DM and CB and side backs) they must not to committ set-pieces and stupid lapses on thier lines; put a proper concentration on thier mines in training sessions in order to remember this thought on thier matches. If Oga Rhor applays these philosophies on the acual ground on SE matches and put it on players’ mines, I think he will win then lift this cup in Cameroon.

Azuibike Okechukwu, Akinkunmi Amoo even Etebo that is currently injured is there that God some of you are not a coach otherwise it would have been the greatest calamity ever.

*** Having Osimhen in the Eagles is what we are all praying for but using Dessers and Dennis as Oga Rohr weapons in Cameroon is my concern.

*** Since CAF has increased the Afcon list to 25 or so, Osimhen should be included. He can play for 10 to 20 minutes.

*** Now, Dessers stand a chance to lead the attack. This is where I disagree with Oga Rohr and Amaju.

*** What Ighalo got to do with Super Eagles again?

*** With what I saw against Cape Verde, Ighalo has no pace, strength and stamina anymore to be in that team.

*** Off the pitch yes. He can do it. The experience is there but on the pitch, can he be the main striker again?

*** When we are talking about experience, since we have Musa in the team, Balogun also there to guide the young ones then Oga Rohr should give the young strikers the opportunity to be in that squad. Awoniyi definitely deserves to be among the strikers.

*** I can’t say much about this now. The list will be out soon, let’s wait and see. I wish Osimhen a quick recovery. God bless Nigeria!!!
