Pattinson Hails Notts Return

Australia bowler James Pattinson is looking forward to returning to Nottinghamshire after signing for four months of the 2019 season.

The 28-year-old pace man, whose last Test appearance for the Baggy Greens was against New Zealand back in February 2016, has taken 229 wickets at 22.45 during his first-class career.

And Pattinson revealed that he has “special memories” from his first spell at Notts given that he helped the team secure promotion to County Championship Division One two years ago.

His new deal means he will be available for the entire One-Day Cup campaign and seven County Championship fixtures.

“I have special memories of my time with the club,” said Pattinson. “Having the opportunity to call Trent Bridge my home is something I really value.”

Notts director of cricket Mick Newell added: “His pace and international pedigree make him an exciting addition. If he performs anything like he did during the previous spell, we’ll be very happy.”
