Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was back to his best as he netted a brace while Bukayo Saka was also on target in a 3-0 win over Newcastle at the Emirates on Monday evening.
After a fairly lifeless opening period that the home side dominated, they finally got their rewards when Aubameyang gave them the lead five minutes after the break.
Saka made it 2-0 after good work by the impressive Emile Smith Rowe before Aubameyang swept home his second from close range to seal the win.
The victory moved the Gunners up to 10th in the table with the visitors, who were poor throughout, staying 15th after making it nine without a win.
Mikel Arteta made three changes to his side following the goalless home draw with Crystal Palace last time out.
Cedric Soares came in at right-back while there were recalls for fit-again Kieran Tierney eand Thomas Partey.
