Premier League: Lookman On Target Aina, Maja In Action As Fulham Beat Sheffield United

Ademola Lookman was the hero for relegation threatened Fulham, as his lone strike earned them a hardfought 1-0 win against Sheffield United at Craven Cottage on Saturday, Completesports.com reports.

Also in action for Fulham were Ola Aina, Josh Maja and Tosin Adarabioyo.
A second half strike from Lookman was enough to ensure a vital three points for Scott Parker’s men.

It was his fourth goal in 22 Premier League appearances for the London club.

Lookman opened scoring in the 61st minute after he plucked down a long diagonal ball out the air and lashed a perfect shot underneath Ramsdale and into the back of the net.

In the 73rd minute Aina almost made it 2-0 after he tried his luck with a dipping drive which Ramsdale did well to parry clear.

Despite the win, Fulham are still in the relegation zone in 18th on 22 points and are three points from safety.

Lookman shot dey be like rocket..Ania is good no worry.

    • Aina is really good as a LWB but not too fantastic in a back four in a match so much defending will be required of him.

Good morning guys! I watched the game yesterday night and I was happy that my anticipation came to reality after the end of the match.

It was a match Fulham deminated althrough and I was happy that they were able to Nick it at then end..

The Nigerian guys on the starting lineup justified their need for starting as they all showcased themselves in various capacities.
Of all, Aina impressed me the most, that guy has really improved tremendously!you could see that he has been training hard in order to match his words of development and improvement of his game with action.

Aina’s tremendous improvement is going to be the gain of all and sundry. For me, Aina owns the super eagles RB position for now as he has really transformed his game to be one of the modern day RB.

He now plays with panacea, confidence, grit, with well calculatings surging runs… He has been blessed too with loads of shots with both legs.

As for Lookman, I am not surprise about his performance last night as he has nothing to prove to me anymore…Lookman na beast who will surely replace Ahmed with an ASSURANCE by the time his switch is completed.

Congratulations to Fulham FC for last night deserved victory and I wish you guys more victories in order to secure safety.

    Fulham’s not going down!
    Fulham’s staying up!!

    Well said @Abdul.

However, what pains me the most is whenever Aina comes to Super Eagles, the Coach will prefer to play either his German lover Akpos or someone that is not even naturally a RB like Shehu or Awaziem ahead of him. Am tired of that Coach in some major decision making when it matters most. I hope he chages sha.

For Ademola Lookman, though I would be the happiest Super Eagle fan if he chooses to play for Nigeria. But all informations about his switch of nationality to Nigeria to me is just a RUMOUR till he comes out to declare it openly himself like Dessers did then and even Iwobi. Up till date, I haven’t seen any reputable sport site quote him verbative where he said “I choose to play for NIGERIA now” or “I’m processing my switch of allegiance to the Super Eagles”. I hope and pray my thoughts are wrong though cuz he’s a big asset. But for now, That guy might just honour an England call up if Thief Southgate does his normal again.

  • Most of the names of players being said to have been cleared by fifa to represent Nigeria are mostly rumours. Most of them haven’t even started the process, some haven’t even made up their minds yet. All these newspapers are doing is peddling fake news to sell their papers. Only when the coach releases the list of invited players and I see the individual in the team will I believe they have infact switched.
