Poland recorded their first win at the 2022 FIFA World Cup courtesy of a 2-0 victory against Saudi Arabia.
Piotr Zielinski gave Poland the lead in the 39th minute as he smashed home from close range.
Saudi Arabia missed the chance to equalise from the spot in first half stoppage time.
Wojciech Szczesny first denied Salem Al-Dawsari and then saved Mohammed Al-Burayk’s rebound.
In a frenetic second half, Poland hit the woodwork twice while Szczesny denied Al-Dawsari again from close range.
But Poland’s victory was sealed in the 82nd minute as Lewandowski capitalised on Abdulellah Al-Malki’s mistake to score for the first time in the competition in his fifth World Cup game.

I know say that Saudi win against Argentina na fluke that will never happen again.
Did you say fluke, maybe you need to go watch the match again, poland was a disappointment. Thanks to there goalkeeper, the saudi’s were all over them. they were just so unfortunate.
Saudi played well. But they were also very fortunate. Argentina had the ball in their net several times, and all the goals were disallowed for being marginally offside.
However, Saudi can boast that they have achieved something Nigeria, Mexico and many other countries have never done. They have beaten Argentina at the mundial.
