Red Bull Looking At Start Issues

Red Bull chief Christian Horner says they will try to get to the bottom of both of his drivers’ poor starts at the German Grand Prix. Max Verstappen went on to claim the chequered flag at the Hockenheimring but it masked another poor exit from the grid for both the young Dutchman and team-mate Pierre Gasly.

Verstappen put in a superb drive in testing conditions and was the beneficiary of mistakes by others as he claimed the spoils. Horner was delighted for his main man but made it clear the mechanics will attempt to solve the issue holding them back at the start of races.

“It was terrible. Both cars had a problem at the start, so we have to look at it urgently,” he told Motorsport.com. “Max and Pierre nevertheless kept themselves strong. Max quickly gathered himself and appeared behind Mercedes again. Pierre fell further back, but progressed to he again went wrong.

“It has to do with a number of things that we have done and we have to try to solve together with Honda. It could be similar to the situation in Austria, so we need to understand how we can do that appearance.”
