England midfielder, Declan Rice, has lauded the Three Lions’ performance so far at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar as they gear up to face France in the quarter-finals.
The Three Lions have been impressive so far at the tournament, topping Group B with seven points and defeating African Champions Senegal 3-0 in the round of 16.
Rice insists that the England squad deserves the kind commendation given to the Netherlands and Argentina.
“I don’t think we get the credit we deserve in our performances,” Planet Sport quoted Rice as saying.
“If you look at other teams like Netherlands and Argentina they win their games comfortably and they get called ‘masterclasses’
“With us, it always gets picked off. If you look at the last couple of games it’s faultless.”
Rice has made four appearances for England so far at Qatar 2022.
England play France in the quarter-finals on Saturday, December 10 at the Al Bayt Stadium.
The Three Lions are looking to win England’s second FIFA World Cup title after their 1966 feat on home soil.
