Rivers United goalkeeper Theophilus Afelokhai has reiterated that the team has the capability to overturn the one-goal deficit against fellow Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Enyimba FC on Sunday, in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Cyril Olisemah scored the only goal of the game in the 59th minute, which has given the eight-time NPFL winners a good base to plan for the away leg.
However, Afelokhai in an interview with Brila.net stated that they are confident of eliminating Enyimba from the competition.
“We have played the first leg and we saw everything that we need to see and thank God that it’s not more than that 1-0, we have a big chance to qualify to the group stage and by God grace coming up Sunday, we will qualify by God grace.
“I don’t know how the goals will come whether it’s 2-0 or 3-0 or 4-1 all I know is we will qualify on Sunday by God grace.”
