Super League club Hull Kingston Rovers have confirmed they have signed Kyle Trout on a short-term deal. The 28-year-old started his career in the top flight after graduating from Wakefield’s academy and he made 25 appearances for Trinity. Trout also played for Doncaster, Batley Bulldogs, Featherstone Rovers, Whitehaven and Hunslet Hawks on loan before joining Dewsbury Rams in 2016.

After a short stay with Sheffield Eagles, Trout returned to Dewsbury in 2018. The Rams have now allowed him to move on and Trout will look to grasp another opportunity in Super League. He will be eligible for the final five games of Rovers’ Super League campaign and he admits he cannot wait to get started.

“I’m really excited to get another crack at Super League. I’ve had a few years in the wilderness now so it’s great to be back,” Trout told the club’s official website. “I have the opportunity now and it’s up to me to take it. I want to prove some things to myself as well as everybody else, that I am good enough for this level.”
