Romano Extends Dragons Stay

Centre Arthur Romano has pledged his future to Catalans Dragons by penning a new one-year contract with the Super League club. The 22-year-old came up through the Dragons’ academy, having joined the club in 2015, and has made 17 appearances in total.

The Frenchman enjoyed 13 outings in the 2019 campaign, scoring three tries in the process, and will continue to ply his trade with the Perpignan-based outfit. He was delighted to extend his stay at the club and is already relishing the start of the 2020 campaign. “I’m proud to extend my contract with the Dragons and to stay at the club,” he told the Dragons’ website.

“The season ended few weeks ago for us but I can’t wait to start the pre-season program and work hard with the team to achieve our goals next season.” Catalans head coach Steve McNamara added: “Arthur has worked extremely hard over the last two years to improve his game. “He has made significant progress and we look forward to seeing that continue over the next 12 months.”
