Nigeria international Bryan Idowu is in line to make his 17th start for FK Khimki when they play host to Arsenal Tula today (Friday) in a Russian Premier League game.
The out of favour Super Eagles left-back has been a regular player for Khimki having started all of his 16 games and playing all 90 minutes in each to clock 1,426 minutes while scoring two goals and bagging four cautions.
The 28-year old defender joined Khimki on loan from Lokomotiv Moscow at the start of the season and has clocked a total of 9,131 minutes in 128 appearances with three goals and two assists in tle Russian topflight from 2011/2012 season.

Idowu who featured for Nigeria at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia has played all his professional football in the country of his birth Russia, and has missed just one league game for Khimki this season, interestingly in the first leg away against Arsenal Tula due to indirect card suspension.
Igor Cherevchenko’s team are currently in 12th position in the table of the 16-team Russian Premier League, on 19 points from 17 games – only a step away from the relegation play-off spot. Their today’s opponent, Arsenal Tula are in 13th position which is a relegation play-off spot, on 14 from 17 games.
