Where are those fans crying for Nwakaeme’s inclusion in the SE, man could only leave Turkey to the Saudi League. If he was that good, Europe should have come calling.

Abeg na who dash you data that you couldn’t use wisely that you have to come here and rant. When his old club couldn’t meet his valuation what was he meant, fight his agent to get him into real madrid. last time i checked ronaldo is about to play in the same league you about to condemn

Come on! You are better than this, are you going to seriously make that comparison? CR7 is at the twilight of his career. More so, with the way he ended his relationship with his previous employers, most clubs did not want to have anything to do with him.As if that was not enough, the Saudi club are willing to pay staggering amounts of money to have him in their league. At his age, at that amount of money and considering his acrimonious exit from Manu, there was only going to be one decision. In summary, your argument my dear friend does not hold water.

    • I just knew this christiano Ronaldo’s move to Saudi Arabia will give our backward lovers more fuel to make a case for the old brigade that has refuse to allow our National team evolve……It is well

In other news, the SE handlers are sleeping on Anayo Iwuala. I watched his performance for his new Algerian club and the kid seems to have turned a corner. They love him there and are looking to buy him permanently. The more I saw of him, he kept reminding me of maradona at his peak. The pace, the balance, the strength, I believe if given a run of games, he could be the missing piece in our midfield.Give him a free role and let him run opposition teams ragged. He is definitely improving and believe he could be much better. His decision making in the final 3rd seems to have improved a lot.If he continues to churn out exquisite champagne football like this, he is definitely heading to the top.

Wow! What a talent. If this guy was Argentine, they would have been celebrating that they have found messi’s successor (potentially, if properly harnessed).

@Golden Child… Thank you so much for this writeup on Anayo Iwuala. Thank God that this find is also not coming from me.

That dude has long impressed me, there is a certain intensity and fearlessness about his game.

There are certain players that have National Team persona, give some players 3 decades they won’t ever measure up in National team.

Nigeria has a lot of players that should have by now successful national team involvement but there are certain administrators that keep these players away from national team invite.

The likes of Moses Simon, Iheanacho, Onyekuru, Ekong, Musa and Samuel Kalu can’t take out football anywhere.

Before anyone insults me, Moses Simon is my tribal man… I no the look Uche face… my own na ball or nothing!

Trust me @JimmyBall, if that guys gets a coach who believes in his abilities and trust him to start games, the kid will flourish.Looking through the lenses of potential, that guy could end up being our best player (Yes, I said it with my chest, even in a team of superstars like Victor Osimhen ). The problem is our coaches are not seeing it, yes! He is still raw but if properly harnessed, he is a major weapon.

The thing is that he had 2 games for the SE and was tossed away. Even in those games he struggled to assert himself in a predominantly packed foreign based players. You could see it when onuachu scored the winning goal against Benin, he did not celebrate with the team. This is where a good coach spots his talent and starts building a team around him. He has The ability no doubt but how badly does He want it? Time will tell.

Once Nigeria-born players have chopped belle full they lose drive and motivation. Once a Nigerian player has spent 4-5 seasons playing in Europe and earning big money they only care about their club and salary.
On the other hand, there is nothing as hungry as a young Nigeria-born player trying to make it as a top football player.
It is why hungrier players are needed in the SE, not those who want to turn player selection into civil service promotion – based on age and seniority.

One reason, I rate Westerhof better than bonfere jo is that whilst the latter was a better tactician, the former was excellent at spotting talent and including them in his team. The list is endless, He spotted a teenage Amokachi in kaduna after getting a tip off, there was Okocha who dazzled in Germany, home based players were not led out, he drafted in George Finidi who was playing for the sharks of port Harcourt, he drafted in Amuneke who played for Zamalek in Egypt. FOR WESTERHOF, he never discriminated in terms of age or where you are playing. If you pass his eye test and he sees quality, you are in his team. Peseiro needs to adopt the same approach if he is to attain the heights of success Westerhof achieved. I believe Anayo is the player to build a team around, he is special. It just might be that what we have been looking for in sokoto (with eze and olise) was already in our sokoto. Special mention to Yira Sor, if there is a player to challenge Osimhen in the eagles, it just might be this dude.Plays like sadio mane , he is lightening quick ,technically good with the ball , can dribble and most importantly, he can finish. The only weakness I see is his strength, he will need to work on that. If Nigeria is serious , they could build a very scary team for the wc in 2026.
