Wednesday’s extra-time win over Espanyol in the cup is sure to have further stretched Los Beticos’ resources and with another Copa clash in midweek, the 60-year-old concedes he needs to be careful when it comes to selection.

He is quoted by Marca as saying: “Taking into account our situation with injured players and the tiredness of having played a heavy schedule, it is true that there are players that we have to take care of, we have to manage it well. “They tell you that they are tired, but they want to play, but of course one thing is enthusiasm and another when the 60th minute arrives they struggle. “There are many fatigue situations that I have in.”
