Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has appealed to the Red Devils’ fans to support Paul Pogba and make the France international feel more at home at the club in the 2019/ 2020 season.
Solskjaer seems to be making a success of prevailing on Pogba who wanted out this summer change his mind, but the manager wants the fans to change from their poor attitude towards the midfielder.
Manchester United fans treated Pogba with disdain on some occasions during the club’s difficult 2018/19 season and talked him down the more on the last day of the season after Cardiff City won 2-0 at the Old Trafford.
“I think our fans know what Paul has given the club and what he can give us,” Solskjaer stated during a press conference ahead of Manchester United’s
International Champions Cup match against Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday.
“of course there is a loud small minority. Paul has been absolute top in the group. Me and the players will testify to that.
“He’s never ever been a problem. We’re just grateful when he performs as well as he does.
On the fitness situation of Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku, Solskjaer remarked: “Lindelof is fine and Lukaku won’t be fit,” he said. .
“He (Lukaku) has been working with a physio the last few days, so I don’t think he will make this one.
“He got injured in training. It’s not too bad, if it was worse we would have sent him home.
“Of course, it’s never nice to be a player who misses out on important fitness work, but also team building work, understanding, tactical approach. He will just have to make that up later on.”Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
