Spalletti: Osimhen Can Be The Best Striker In The World

Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti believes Victor Osimhen has the potential to become the best striker in the world, reports Completesports.com.

Osimhen has enjoyed rave reviews since linking up with Partenopei from Ligue 1 club Lille two years ago.

The 23-year-old scored 10 goals in 24 league appearances during his maiden campaign in Serie A.

This season, the striker has netted six times in 15 league appearances.

“Osimhen? If Koulibaly is scary, he is stratospheric. I don’t understand how far he can get, but the thought of what he can become excites me,” Spalletti told Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“The future possibilities makes me curious. He must understand where he can get to in the future.”

Spalletti also praised Osimhen for his performance in Napoli’s 1-1 draw with Barcelona last week.

“In Barcelona, he showed that he has the physicality to put the defence of the opponent in difficulty,” Spalletti added.

“You saw him in the last game go on those 40m runs, taking all the opposing defence with him and then missing the cross.

“He is close enough to executing those brushstrokes, but he must first convince himself he can do it. He can also do other things besides the runs.”

God forbid your thought but Osimhen needs to add intelligence to his game..The talent is there, the physicality is there, and the speed but there are still some parts of his game he needs to work on to become great which is the part that has nothing to do with physicality and that is his ball intelligence.. Make e take am easy with the grand gra if power was football Traore would have been the best player in the world…lol

        Pathetic

    • Something tells me u will soon die and go to hell, you wicked devil.

  • My prayer is for God to give Osimhen the more understanding and the sound mind for greater exploit in Jesus Name.

His best will surely manifest by the grace of God.

I don’t believe he lacks football “intelligence”… Watch their first Match against Leicester City at the Europa League – watch his two goals. Watch all his goals from Lile to Napoli.

The challenge – as I see it – is that those who play with him now are not matching with his high octane style. Too often his support os either way behind, and he has to drop back to pick up balls, and when he does, the support is tracking far too behind. However; as Victor continues to Develop and master himself, he will develop the confidence in “executing those brushstrokes” Spalletti is exactly right.
