Super Eagles Flight To Douala Was Scary -Troost-Ekong

Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong has revealed that the team had a scary flight experience to Douala during the team’s 2022 World Cup qualifiers against the Central Africa Republic (CAR).

Recall that Nigeria won the reverse fixture 2-0 at the Omnisports Stadium thanks to goals from Leon Balogun and Victor Osimhen to redeem their image after the team’s embarrassing 1-0 loss at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.

Sharing his experience via his YouTube channel, the Watford defender, said that even though the team won in Douala, the scary flight almost ruined everything.

“The flight to Douala was scary, I was nervous, and good there is no kid in there. But thank God we made it.”

The Super Eagles are expected to face Liberia next month in a game the team must avoid defeat if they are to win Group C and qualify for the final knockout stages.

Thank you Troost, you are guys are ok but need some of experience beef up. Coach Rohr is on the right track though and must urgently co-opt Ighalo Odion into SE. We cannot afford to draw and not even losing to Liberia. God bless Nigeria!

@troost or csn, you didn’t clearly state what made the flight scary. Is it that the plane developed some fault or what? Your statement is ambiguous..
