Falconets head coach Moses Aduku remains optimistic about the future despite Nigeria’s elimination from the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, Completesports.com reports.
Nigeria’s campaign came to an end after a narrow 1-0 defeat to Colombia at Stadion Miejski LKS in Lodz on Sunday afternoon.
Valerin Loboa scored a dramatic 92nd-minute winner to send Colombia into the semi-finals, where they will face DPR Korea.

Despite the disappointing exit, several Nigerian players impressed throughout the tournament, including goalkeeper Christianah Uzoma, Tosin Rafiu, Janet Akekoromowei and Ramotalahi Kareem.
Aduku Optimistic Of Future
Aduku believes the experience will be valuable for the young players and expressed confidence that they have promising careers ahead of them.
“First and foremost, this tournament is good for the young players,” Aduku told FIFA.
“It gives them the ability to grow and reach the next level. I think, in Nigeria, we have seen the future of our players. And I think the future is very bright.”
