William Troost-Ekong will make his return for Udinese in Wednesday’s Serie A encounter with Lecce at the Dacia Arena – Stadio Friuli after missing the last game, Completesports.com reports.
Troost-Ekong missed his side’s last match due to a ban over accumulation of cards when Udinese defeated Cagliari 1-0 also in an Italian Serie A game at the Sardegna Arena last Sunday.
He was booked in the 20th minute for a clumsy challenge on Aaron Ramsey when Udinese defeated Juventus 2-1 also in a Serie A game at the Dacia Arena last week Thursday.
His caution against the Old Lady meant he had already been shown five yellow cards so far during the 2019/20 season which brought about an automatic one-game suspension.
But having missed the top-flight clash with Cagliari over the weekend, the Super Eagles central defender is sure to start Udinese’s next encounter with Lecce on Wednesday.
The 26-year old has made 27 starts in 28 league appearances for Udinese this term. The Little Zebras are safe in the Italian league, having garnered 42 points from 36 games.
