Benin Republic’s U-17 women’s team, the Young Amazons, have commenced preparations for their final-round qualification fixture against Nigeria’s Flamingos for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, Completesports.com reports.
The squad is currently camping at the Missérété Excellence Centre, with head coach Idah Azonsou inviting 30 players for the crucial encounter.
Benin Republic defeated Sierra Leone 5-1 on aggregate to book a date with the Flamingos.

Azonsou is expected to trim the squad before the two-legged tie against the Flamingos.
Nigeria will host the first leg at the Remo Stars Sports Complex on Saturday, July 4, while the return leg is scheduled for a week later at the Kégué Stadium in Lomé, Togo.
The overall winner on aggregate will secure a place at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, which will be hosted by Morocco.
The competition will take place from 17 October 2026 to 8 November 2026.
